indigenous missile crafting
Everyone talks about the Shahed drones, but the indigenization of missile production that Iran carried out over the last few decades alone has completely changed military dynamics in the Middle East

noooo, this happens in arizona, but it's one sided someone has come from california or california is inside of them

why the fuck do even pro palestine protestors hang on to the 74000 number you look stupid and you're doing propaganda for the imperialists & genocidaires when any reasonable estimate puts the death toll at half a million at minimum just look at the dust the place is reduced to

Yeah, because we'll vote our way out, sure
The dumbest people in the world

Youre supposed to be way too smart to be so liberal
If you’re protesting and blaming *checks notes* Zohran Mamdani for the Gaza genocide you may, you just may, need to check yourself into a mental health facility.

One way or another it's a psyop
All of this happened in the past three weeks.

would humans even do anything if we were completely reasonable? perhaps we'd do no more than need be done to bring about flourishing felicity wellness & dignity? is it the point of every koan & every teaching?

No one's checking his work here, & no one can, but you still see how deeply Norm thinks about his answer, even just to arrive at what we might all hope to say, were we honest, were we so pensive. One of many reasons to give Norm Finkelstein the highest regard
Norman Finkelstein is asked what his parents would think of him

actually, uneducated idiots are right as usual! get punked nerds!
The critics savaging Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Digger” are right, and so is the public who stayed home — missing a Tom Cruise movie, no less. Watch “Dr. Strangelove” instead. jacobin.com/2026/10/digger-i…

nah it's saying this is your present level 4
i don't think innaritu intended for digger to be totally hopeless. i think a lot of us americans are taking it that way because we can't even imagine a different world. to me digger is saying "this is your future but it doesn't have to be"

Eileen Jones has no idea what the movie was about especially the takeaway I wonder if she even watched it

Completely makes sense & completely depressing that there are ~3 people per viewing
Digger was the litmus test and the world failed it. Literacy rates are down and no one is going to save us.

Please explain why it wouldn't be the most likely trajectory? What is the mechanism that allows things to be even as good as what was portrayed? Our trajectory is genuinely much worse

it's an antimovie
Digger. What a film. Didn't take long to understand why american critics panned the shit out of this one. The call is coming from inside the house for the people who make villains to erase their own culpability to the great crimes of our time. This is megalopolis, inverted.

It's an antimovie in that it draws you back to where you are
Digger. First 30 minutes I'm thinking this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The secret hook is annoying. An hour into it, I just want to walk out. Then about 15 minutes later, the hook is justified. The story's context and stakes finally reveals itself, and then I'm on board. Then it becomes fascinating. I'm liking this magic trick. It goes from Kubrick to Woody Allen to Fellini then finally its own thing. I loved being pulled back into it when I had given up on it. Very cool.

right
“I think because we've been such a successful democracy for so long, it's hard for the American people to understand how quickly we can lose it all,” Sen. Thom Tillis tells 60 Minutes. cbsn.ws/4hxqoxS

there were 3 other people in there i did get successfully advertised to which is normally not the case it's like they're doing microprecision targeting in the formulation of the algo effectively now & i just so happened to like the movie as the superstructure all knew i would
Fans of Digger get the luxury of having the cinema all to themselves if they decide to rewatch it.
