This is why I have little respect for modern Europe. They went from having some of the greatest history on Earth to embracing suicidal empathy. They've embraced people who so not share their values and given them a long leash in their society, and they suffer for it.
Phenomenal dating guide wow. All those gentlemanly touches make a huge difference. If you show up this way, then you'll go on plenty of dates until you find the right person.
Attention Young Men:
I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it.
Step 1: Stop playing video games
Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up
Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical)
Step 4: Go clean your car
Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class
Step 6: Go to the yoga class
Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends)
Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night.
Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion.
Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper.
Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite.
Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2.
Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you.
My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.
One strategy in one region undermining strategy in another...
U.S. President Donald Trump:
"I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP".
Beat take I've seen on the topic. I have no kind feelings for those who perpetuate evil but we have to reflect if our actions reflect our values and see beyond the short term.
WE COUNT THE ENEMIES WE KILL. WE RARELY COUNT THE ONES WE CREATE.
Nidal Hasan was a patient on my floor in the surgical trauma ICU at Brooke Army Medical Center.
I wasn't there when he arrived. I had just left for my deployment to Mosul, Iraq. But the nurses and doctors who cared for him were my peers and my friends, and I know exactly what that required of them, because every one of us had done some version of it before. Before anyone tells me what strength looks like, understand what that work demands.
I have cared for a drunk driver who wiped out an entire family and landed in our ICU himself. I have cared for gang members who shot up a block while children were stepping off a school bus, then ended up on our unit with bullets of their own. I have kept alive people who murdered their own families and failed at taking their own lives. And in Iraq, I saved the lives of the very enemy fighters who had just tried to kill us and miraculously survived our response.
Every one of those patients got our best. Not because we felt anything for them, but because of who we were. You set aside anger, grief, prejudice and every personal feeling you have, because a life in front of you is a life in front of you. That's the oath. That's the duty.
So when Hasan came through those doors, my colleagues did what we had always done. They preserved the life of a man who murdered thirteen people and would have killed them too, given the chance. He killed those men and women in one of the very same buildings many Soldier's like myself have been in when I was stationed at Fort Hood.
He is alive today because they did their jobs. That was not sentiment. It was a hard, tangible expression of the values this country claims to stand for. Our principles had to mean something even when the person benefiting from them had violated everything we believed in.
Now the Pentagon plans to livestream his execution by firing squad on Dec. 3, and our leaders apparently believe turning his death into a public spectacle will demonstrate American strength. I think it demonstrates how little they understand the enemy they claim to be fighting. We kept Nidal Hasan alive, now our leaders want to make him a martyr.
Hasan walked into Fort Hood expecting to die. He believed his death would be rewarded. At his trial, he called no witnesses and offered no defense, and his own court-appointed lawyers worried he was seeking execution. He failed at martyrdom once. Now we're about to hand it to him, in high definition, for every extremist with an internet connection to replay, manipulate and celebrate.
We supply the footage. They supply the meaning.
Long after the politicians finish congratulating themselves, that video will still exist. Their moment of bravado becomes somebody else's recruiting material for decades. And this failure to think past the immediate display of power reaches far beyond one execution. We count the enemies we kill. We rarely count the enemies we create.
Look at the school in Minab, Iran, where multiple investigations attributed the strike that killed more than 100 children and their teachers to us. You cannot bury people's children beneath the rubble of their classrooms and expect a speech about American intentions to decide how they remember you. No denial brings those children home. No claim of good intentions makes their parents forget whose weapons killed them.
If those were our children, we would remember for the rest of our lives. We would demand accountability. Many of us would want vengeance. We would tell their stories to the next generation. We know this because we did exactly that after September 11.
Why do we imagine other people love their children less, grieve less deeply, or remember less clearly?
We have developed a horrifying talent for creating more terrorists than we will ever stop. We inflict suffering, evade responsibility, and then act as though the anger that follows came out of nowhere.
Think back to the first time you saw one of those al Qaeda videos of an American being beheaded. Remember the sickness in your stomach. Remember the rage. Remember thinking that only savages would film a killing and send it out for the world to watch. Now ask yourself what the rest of the world will see when the camera is ours.
Terrorist organizations stage executions for the cameras. Authoritarian regimes make death a public spectacle to feed fear and rage. Watching our own leaders reach for those same tools should force us to confront how much of ourselves we are surrendering in the name of defeating them.
The line separating us from the people we condemn has to live in our conduct. A flag cannot hold it for us. Neither can a uniform, a title, or a declaration that we are the good guys.
On that ICU floor, on a bloody street in Mosul, and in trauma bays across this country, people like my colleagues hold that line every day under circumstances most will never face. They keep monsters alive because their duty and their humanity are bigger than their hatred of what those monsters have done.
Execute him if that's the sentence. But do it the way a confident nation does; quietly, lawfully, and without giving him the stage he always wanted. Let him be forgotten.
I expect our leaders to show at least as much discipline as the nurses who had to care for him.
They keep telling us they are defending what makes America different. Every day, they make that difference harder to see.

This is why I love rebuilding client websites because I can build it and they can make their updates through vibe coding workflows. It's easy and ultra high value marketing spend.
Guys, I don't know how to tell you this, but when you build a website with AI, it doesn't need to be updated.
There's no core PHP app serving the website 24/7 that is full of possible vulnerabilities that need to be patched. There's no theme with vulnerabilities that need to be patched. There are no plugins with vulnerabilities that need to be patched.
Even if you have some kind of underlying CMS, if you do it right, there's no need to worry about constantly updating anything.
The website being served is just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I'm telling you guys, you just don't know how much of a pain in the ass WordPress is until you stop using it. We've all been desensitized to what is required to maintain a WordPress website.
Sometimes you don't know how heavy your backpack is until you take it off.
Excited to see the US take these government-backed startup funding opportunities seriously.
The US government will give your startup up to $1.55M and take 0% equity.
@NSF's America's Seed Fund is open again after Congress reauthorized it in April.
Three tracks:
- Phase I: up to $305K to prove the idea
- Phase II: up to $1.25M to build it
- Fast-Track: up to $1.55M, both phases in one go
Who can apply:
- US-based startups with 500 or fewer employees
- 51%+ owned by US citizens or permanent residents
- Not majority owned by VCs
- All the work done in the US
How it works:
- Send a 3-page Project Pitch first
- NSF invites the best ones to submit a full proposal
- Next full proposal deadline: Nov 4
Phase I funding rates have run about 10 to 20%. It's work, but nobody takes your cap table.

AI implementations are actually pretty fun too. I love interviewing the team and building things that feel like magic.
Mark Cuban's take on the next job wave deserves more attention than it's getting.
His argument: software as we know it is dying. Generic SaaS gets replaced by AI customized to how each business actually operates.
The question then becomes — who builds and deploys that for the 33 million companies in the US that can't do it themselves?
That's the market. Not AI for enterprises with 500-person eng teams. The other 99%.
SMBs don't have CTOs. They don't have prompt engineers. They need someone to sit across the table, understand their workflow, and wire up an AI system that fits it.
That's a services business. Probably the largest one this decade.
Sincerely hoping this isn't 2020 all over again.
Russia's plague outbreak is getting worse, now with 5 hospitals in Irkutsk quarantined, universities canceling classes and accusations from healthcare workers that the government is attempting a media cover-up.
Nearly 200 contacts of a 28-year-old anti-plague laboratory worker who died last week are reportedly under isolation or medical observation.
Irkutsk universities are canceling classes citing a “case of pneumonic plague,” while an aluminum plant introduced mandatory masks. A local government warning advising residents not to travel to Shelekhov was published and later deleted.
Healthcare workers claim doctors are discussing plague internally while avoiding the diagnosis in official documents.
Russian health authorities continue to deny any plague outbreak, attributing the woman's death to “pneumonia of unknown origin.”
Pneumonic plague is far worse that it's Bubonic cousin as its transmitted directly between humans.
Still can't get over how great this is.
Today at Hello America, we witnessed history in the making.
For almost 50 years, I've dedicated my life to helping people improve the quality of their lives, and I've worked with presidents on both sides of the aisle for more than 35 years.
I'm truly grateful to have been here to kick off the launch of America.gov, and to introduce the President of the United States and my friend of 15 years, @jgebbia. Joe is the co-founder of Airbnb and America's first Chief Design Officer, and he led the world-class team that built America.gov.
America.gov is a brand-new website built for one purpose: a government that truly SERVES its people.
Our government, sometimes with the best of intentions, has made it very difficult to get the help you've been promised.
Today that changes: 29,000 government websites are now ONE, using AI to answer your questions, and soon it will do the work for you. It's one website, one place, all the answers. It's simple, easy, and there for you whenever you need it.
You can even speak in three languages, with more to come. You have to check it out!
People right, left, and center came together to make this happen. Built by Americans, for Americans, to change the quality of your life. 🇺🇸🤝
Honestly great summary. It's a weird time where can, should, and don't are all very tough to discern.
A lot of spending money going for an ROI
Lots of founders are crashing out
A year ago AI felt like an incredible opportunity.
Most of us were able to ship faster, remove admin, and get time back.
Lots of engineering founders were even able to explore marketing for the first time: SEO, organic social, outbound.
Building complex systems that felt extremely productive.
But since then, a lot has happened.
Here’s some of the themes I’m seeing:
AI marketing isn’t working. At first it feels impressive and it looks good but for most it’s not driving results. This is made worse by the fact everyone has access to the same tools. Inboxes are flooded, buyers are fatigued, the economy is flat.
Engineers are fried. Yes you can ship more but for many the flow state has gone. It’s a new way of working and it’s not for everyone. The speed leaves many of us exhausted before 11am.
There’s a feeling of what’s the point? Is my product’s next feature going to be redundant in a year, or a month? Can’t AI do what my business does, better?
SaaS valuations have collapsed. From 3-4x revenue to 1x. There’s a sinking realisation that a large number of SaaS companies will go to 0 in the next few years. Building to exit seems almost crazy right now.
There’s far fewer buyers and far more sellers. These include vibe coders cloning products without the care or craft, contributing to the distribution challenges from people doing it the right way.
Lots of people are trying to make money by selling shovels. This just adds to the frenzied energy.
Build in public stopped being fun. A few makers realised that the new game is attention, and now everything feels insincere and stunt-driven. They are influencers not founders. Changes to the X timeline compounded the issues.
There are exceptions and there are still moats remaining, but the challenges feel existential
Impressive investigative reporting
Did you think that Trump changing the name of “AI” to Super Intelligence “SI” was strange? Well, apparently, it was just another enrichment ploy.
Adam Cochran’s investigation shows that In the past 60 days insiders bought thousands of .si domain names. They’ve profited hundreds of millions of dollars so far.
Here is Cochran’s full investigation:
I believe Trump’s “SI” Executive Order was ANOTHER criminal plot to enrich the Trump family.
Insiders seem to have profited MILLIONS off of .si domain names before his Truth Social posts.
It’s no surprise that .AI domain names are a hot commodity and almost all taken by squatters.
But what wasn’t?
.si domain names.
.si is the domain extension of Slovenia (coincidentally where Melania and Barron Trump are both citizens of).
On September 19th Trump made a random Truth Social post about renaming “Artificial Intelligence” to “Super Intelligence” without any clear reason.
This set off a flurry of people buying and registering .si names related to AI.
But it wasn’t the first time…
The .si registry has around 55/day registrations in 2023-2025, but in 2026 the numbers started to pick up.
On June 24th they saw more than 400 in a single day.
This volume spiked with more than 7000 new domains registered in July.
And a sudden flurry of buying .si domains in the aftermarket.
AI related .si names started going for tens of thousands of dollars.
It was the first ever spike in aftermarket sales for .si domains.
Many of these were re-listed, such as build.si now available for $14M.
How do we know this is Trump’s inner circle?
The registrations started to tick up LONG before this announcement.
While domain squatters may purchase bulk domain names of common words, they don’t buy over priced after market domains which started to sell around the same time.
And for the last few months have registered more than 10,000 AI related terms.
Many of which are now listed for sale for MILLIONS.
Over the investigation, I found around 12,000 AI related or MAGA related domains that had been newly registered or changed hands before this announcement.
In the months prior to July though 95% of all .si domains had been non-English.
Unfortunately DynaDot (the largest bulk registrar for .si domains) keeps Whois information private on registration.
Some of the DNS records resolve to bulk domain squatters, but it’s pretty telling that 1776(.)si and a ton of other pro-US, pro-MAGA term [remainder cut off]
So why an Executive Order?
The President can’t change how private citizens or corporations talk.
But the executive order requires that all Federal departments use the term “Super Intelligence” specifically “SI” AND that they “no longer acknowledge” the term AI.
Trying to force the term into commonplace, and suggesting that AI companies who want to curry favor with the President need to brand as “SI”
Which means?
Buying a .si domain name.
(I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the government launch a .si site too)
Since Trump’s announcement .si domain have seen MILLIONS of dollars in turn over.
Much of it going to domains that were registered in the last 60 days before the announcement.
Trump’s inner circle massively profited on this policy change while reporters call it “unexpected”
Using an Executive Order for the enrichment of yourself is not only unethical but a breach of office.
It’s a crime and an impeachable offence.
The records are also very clear, and logged.
So I’m sure a future Congress will be looking at who bought these domains.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

They were crazy to not work with @Starlink!!
It takes attention to make friends as an adult and while I life WFH, it's made me much happier joining a cool coworking space and building events at home and beyond.
I've been actively fighting almost guaranteed age-related loneliness for years, studies show after age 30 you start seeing friends less and when you get older especially men don't have any social life left!
It's preventable, but it takes effort and initiative
We've now organized 70 weekly coworking days where we meet with friends and work together, do show and tell, and try help each other make things (also hardware stuff more recently)
We've also started organizing movie nights, art nights, barbecues, we watched the World Cup final on a projector screen in the garden with friends
We did a collage night the other day where we bought cheap gossip magazines, colored paper, and Pritt glue, and gave everyone scissors to make their own art, I think nobody spent time on their phone for at least 4 hours, making things puts you in a flow state and it's fun to do it in a group because you talk about different stuff while making things than you would for ex having a dinner
Movie nights are nice too but less popular I think cause everyone prefers to watch movies alone and also you can't really talk during a movie
Coworkings range from having sometimes 20 people to sometimes just 2 people, people have their own lives, but me and @rameerez still try to organize them weekly
One thing I realized is that we are usually the ones organizing stuff, but that's not a bad thing, there's even studies about this, there's usually a few people in a group who organize most of the events
If nobody in your group organizes stuff, it doesn't mean nobody wants to do stuff, but you have to take the initiative to bring people together which isn't easy in a time where phones and apps and the internet are simply easier and cheaper dopamine than driving to a friends house for a party
You can start with a coworking day, everyone brings their laptop, and you provide WiFi and coffee, then later you can try more types of events
Having an active social life is just as important or in some studies even more important for health than physical fitness
After a nice party I feel tired but satisfied, I had fun and didn't spend time on my phone or computer but instead talked and laughed with friends etc.
We don't drink alcohol with very few exceptions and nor do our friends, so it's mostly just having really nice food and sparkling water or kombucha etc, and we don't really need alcohol, after a few hours it gets fun enough anyway!
So I recommend everyone, take initiative, and organize something and get people together, it'll be fun! 😊
The AI doomers are likely the wrong the way many doomers end up wrong
The engine of progress proceeds!
If the US government leans into making it work better for people through these little things, it will be revolutionary.
Everyone is used to having a horrible experience with government admin.
Optimizing for "customer success" in government is such an easy win.
🚨 NOW: The Trump administration is launching a Super Intelligence site that will let Americans change their last name after marriage in ONE SINGLE FORM — which usually requires HOURS or DAYS to fix every government document
"You'll be able to change your name right on the platform."
"This would've taken weeks, multiple filings, different agency websites, if you even knew where to start."
This is perfect!
Saving Americans' time is INVALUABLE
