This is the first year since 2018 and only the 2nd time in team history that NYCFC had no players make the MLS 22 Under 22 list. Piece on the leaps not taken and opportunities missing for the “next generation” of young player on the 2026 roster nysoccerjournal.com/mls-22-u…

Lorenzo Hernandez with a dreadful decision. After 4 minutes of added time are called and the NYCFC attacking phase of play ends at 49:20, he allows the match to continue and Miami transition to score their second. The coaching staff is furious, as they should be.

It's not like NYCFC has spent or won equivalently in MLS as Man City has done in the Premier League.
#MLS commissioner Don Garber says during today’s Front Office Sports’s Tuned In summit that the league is not looking into #NYCFC re: Man City Premier League scandal. “We’re not in the business of looking into what our owners do in other leagues.”
He also said the league is “looking at how owners act in accordance to our rules.”
One of the best referees in the game. Saw him as the Fourth Official at the 2022 World Cup Final. His calm, steady approach to refereeing will be missed on MLS and international pitches. Wishing him all the best in what’s next.
1. Not a "flagship" club. Even with a ridiculously overpriced 25,000 seat Etihad Park opening up next summer, this roster doesn't reflect it.
2. Up a goal, up a man and completely collapse.
3. Buyout Bénie Traoré at the end of the season. Cut the losses early. Sign a better DP.
With the Yankees out of the 2026 Postseason, NYCFC should move the remaining 2026 regular season matches to Yankee Stadium where the club has won home matches unlike Citi Field this season.

Bring back the long sleeve kits, for all clubs that have a real winter season! We’ll be freezing without them because of the schedule change.

Additional context on potential impacts to NYCFC from Man City.
Here is an ownership chart I've obtained, tracing NYCFC and Etihad Park all the way back to the top.
The entity in pink, CFG (Midco) Limited, is where Manchester City (and other CFG clubs and operations) are held
Huge episode just dropped over in the @nysoccerjournal podcast feed
@TreyFillmore and I rolled up our sleeves to evaluate Manchester City’s financial scandal through an NYCFC lens
What did City actually do? How bad is it? And how could this impact NYCFC?
