🚨✂️💰 #OUTRAGE — The PGA Tour has eliminated the Champions Tour pension fund which began in 1985. The fund was cut from $10M to $8M in 2025 and has now been cut to $0. Outrage has erupted among some members, including 3 time winner Billy Andrade: “..These are the players who helped make the Tour what it is today and helped create the jobs that executives and current players enjoy...It's actually criminal.”
David Tom’s also sounded off on the move: “They’re playing for $20 million almost every week (on the PGA Tour) & they can’t afford $10 million for our pension? It’s a bad look, in my opinion, and I think most of the guys out here feel that way…”
11 time winner Scott McCarron wasn’t impressed: “It’s absolutely terrible what they did to us Champions Tour players… just take it away and not have a way to get it back, I think is terrible. I’m really upset with the leadership of the PGA Tour…”
Paul Goydos was more understanding of the move: “The PGA Tour is a business. The powers that be are trying to run it like a business.…The books are what they are. You can’t run deficit spending. Is it disappointing? Yes. It’s not good, but it’s understandable.”
Was this the right move?

🚨👀🇨🇱 #UPDATE — Multiple sources tell @handicap_54 that Joaquin Niemann, LIV Golf’s all-time wins leader, is heading towards the exits and all signs are pointing to his departure from the league. The 9-time LIV Golf winner would be a massive addition to the DP World Tour and a major loss in LIV Golf’s efforts to revive the league.
Replying to @handicap_54
Friends, I asked to another sources. For me, all of this is an open secret. As I see it, Joaco is leaving LIV Golf and is seeing out how much money he’ll get from what LIV owes him. And for that reason is why nothing is being said. No more than that.

🚨❌🇪🇺 #BREAKING — In a massive blow to LIV Golf’s future, the BBC is reporting that the DP World Tour has made the decision to REFUSE membership to any golfer who joins or plans to join LIV Golf 2.0. Guy Kinnings, the Tour’s CEO says that “players need to make a choice…”
“We have rules and regulations which are there to protect our tour and which our members must all abide by….”
“Players who are not willing to comply with our rules and regulations should not be seeking to join our tour.”
Additionally, if a player does not disclose their intention to join LIV 2.0 and goes on to do so will mean the DPWT has grounds to terminate membership.
Many European players had been reportedly hinging their LIV participation on these rules and we now have an answer on the Tour’s stance surrounding such regulations.
