Obama releases an ad promoting Abdul El-Sayed for Senator.
MAGA heads are exploding.
This is a national disgrace. And unlawful, not that is anything new for Trump and his corrupt adminstration. Where is the outrage from the media and the American people? These trees are living things that cannot be replaced. Just one more horror visited upon America.
Trump's D.C. Chainsaw Massacre: Over 500 Historic Trees Gutted to Build a Millionaire's Golf Course
Donald Trump has begun actively destroying hundreds of trees in Washington, D.C., and the lack of mainstream coverage is absolutely criminal.
Please scream this from the rooftops and spread the word immediately! These aren't dead, dying, or invasive trees — these are perfectly healthy, decades-old oak and maple trees that are being brutally clear-cut. This disturbing footage from Rick Maese at The Washington Post exposes the truth: the Trump administration is massacring upwards of 500 healthy, historic trees at the East Potomac Golf Course.
But honestly, why are we surprised? This is just the latest chapter in Trump's complete and utter disregard for our nation's historic capital. It follows the exact same playbook as his shocking demolition of the White House East Wing, and the disastrous, botched "renovations" of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool that left an iconic American landmark falling apart and peeling. To make matters even more sickening, they've even been dumping toxic debris from the demolished East Wing right onto this very public parkland!
The National Park Service is trying to gaslight the public by claiming this ecological disaster is just routine maintenance, but we know the truth: they are gutting public land to build a glitzy, exclusive championship golf course. Residents across the city are rightfully furious and disgusted. Witnessing 500+ majestic trees being ripped out of the ground is an absolute horror show for the people living in this city.
Do not let them slide on this. Share this everywhere, expose this environmental atrocity, and follow for updates.

Trump promised a manufacturing boom.
Instead, we've lost 75,000 jobs and $60 billion in annual factory construction since he took office.

Last year, Microsoft made $101 billion in profits, got a $12.5 billion tax break from Trump & paid its CEO $96 million.
This year, it’s raising the price of an Xbox by $150 & eliminating 3,200 jobs.
Please don’t tell me corporate tax breaks create jobs. It never trickles down.

Holy sh*t, EVERY LAST WORD that Michael Steele said here! 🔥 🔥
He blasted trump and Republicans for trying to sell Americans a bunch of bullshit on Communism.
"Who's buddy-buddy with all the big name Communists in the world? Donald trump."
Why the Yankees are: losing:
• They’ve allowed 29 unearned runs in the last 15 games—the most by a Yankees team in a 15-game span since 1935.
• Since Judge last played on 5/31, Ben Rice has hit .200, Cody Bellinger .211 and Jazz Chisholm .194. Paul Goldschmidt is 0-last-22

Imagine throwing 15 shutout innings ... and still taking the loss 🫠
On this date in 1963, Hall of Famers Juan Marichal and Warren Spahn matched zeros through 15 innings at Candlestick Park.
Then, in the bottom of the 16th, another Hall of Famer, Willie Mays, walked it off with a solo home run to give the Giants a 1-0 win.

The flood of billionaire money that will come against Graham Platner is no accident.
Whether it is AI, AIPAC or crypto, billionaire-funded super PACs will spend hundreds of millions to defeat candidates who stand with working people and challenge their power.

A UAE investor secretly gave Trump $187 million and his top Middle East envoy $31 million. And then Trump gave that investor access to sensitive defense technology that broke decades of national security precedent.
Brazen, open corruption. And we shouldn't pretend it's normal.
Bernie has been fighting for this for years and years. It requires people with money and power to give up the advantages they have thanks to their money and power. Will enough of the elites allow us to take down the corrupt Citizens United decision and give away their power? Hmm

This week, my amendment to ban billionaire-funded super PACs received unanimous support from my Democratic colleagues.
The momentum is growing. It’s time to repeal Citizens United, ban super PACs and move to the public funding of elections NOW.

At 4am, Senate Republicans gave the greenlight for the IRS to drop ALL investigations into Trump and his family.
That means if Trump is evading taxes, we’ll never know.
I have a bill to make this illegal. And I won’t stop fighting to get it done.

Don’t forget how much their nuke program advanced, the trillions of dollars of damage to the economy, decimation of our missile stock piles, destruction of our bases in the Middle East — and lives lost.
All because we have an insecure, psycho idiot at the helm

I’ve read (& written about at this link) the majority opinion & the dissent in Callais, where the Court gutted Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act without actually overruling it. I know the history, & have lived through & litigated some of it. I’m left with this question. open.substack.com/pub/joycev…

Justice Kagan:
"I dissent. The Voting Rights Act is—or, now more accurately, was—'one of the most consequential, efficacious, and amply justified exercises of federal legislative power in our Nation's history.' It was born of the literal blood of Union soldiers and civil rights marchers. It ushered in awe-inspiring change, bringing this Nation closer to fulfilling the ideals of democracy and racial equality. And it has been repeatedly, and overwhelmingly, reauthorized by the people's representatives in Congress. Only they have the right to say it is no longer needed—not the Members of this Court. I dissent, then, from this latest chapter in the majority's now-completed demolition of the Voting Rights Act."

Public service means showing up when people need help, not when it’s politically convenient.
In 2024, record flooding devastated parts of the North Shore, damaging areas around Stony Brook Village and Blydenburgh County Park. Families, businesses, and community spaces were impacted, yet federal funding took nearly two years to arrive.
Why did it take so long?
Communities should never have to wait for help because of election timing. Leadership means fighting for resources when people need them most, not holding action until it becomes politically useful. Congressman Nick LaLota had the opportunity to push harder and sooner for this district.
That’s why I’m running.
As a veteran, service has always been at the center of my life. I believe Long Island deserves leadership that puts people before politics and delivers real results for our communities.
If you believe we need accountable leadership and stronger advocacy for Long Island, visit my website, get involved, and help us bring good governance back to our district.
