It was a pleasure to share a stage with you, @PaulStollery! #amecsummit
Had a blast talking about @HardNumbers' approach to guaranteeing earned media coverage at the @AmecOrg Global Summit. Expertly chaired afternoon of sessions by @JonMeakinPR. Thanks for having me @gojohnab. #amecsummit

With Twitter's apparent disregard for ethics and laissez-faire attitude to hate speech, I am taking a break from the platform for a while. There is a place for Twitter, or a platform like it, and I hope to be back someday.

I never fail to be astonished by the Musk fanboys.

Very sad to hear about the demise of @protocol. The intersection of tech and journalism is a tough place to be right now and my heart goes out to the talented team

It’s a while since I attended a big conference, and I’ve never been to Dallas before, so I am excited to check off both at #SC22 with @HPE

Love this.

There are so many “what not to do” lessons coming out of Twitter now, I’m struggling to keep up
Elon Musk is doing an all hands with Twitter employees. They got a one hour notice and he showed up 15 minutes late.

My adopted country is far from perfect, but a little bit of my faith in democracy and decency has been restored #Midterms

I don’t know a lot about #cryptocurrecy. And right now, I’m quite glad
Every day I read about crypto, I understand it less and less. FTX was in talks two months ago to raise 1bn equity at a 32bn valuation. Binance threatens to dump 500mm FTX tokens and the whole thing just collapses? Explain it to me like I’m a 65 year old.
Reputations are valuable assets. And like any asset, they need expert protection
Hell of a stat at #CIPRConf22 - in 1975 intangible asset value of reputation, press, etc for a company floating on NYSE was 17%, in 2020 research shows that it is 90% of their value. @gregsanne @DarrylSparey @gojohnab @stellabayles

It’s astounding how many #PR agencies still rely on these meaningless metrics. There are so many better metrics - thank you Stella for championing this
Are you using total monthly publisher traffic numbers as 'reach' or 'OTS' in PR reports? It could be damaging your reputation! Join me & @andismit tomorrow at 4pm UK to find out why & how to fix for 2023. This is a special @AmecOrg #amecMM event. Sign up: bit.ly/BetterPRMetrics

I’m no fan of the monarchy, but cometh the hour… as the Head of State, shouldn’t Charles put the good of the country first and dissolve Parliament? #GeneralElectionNow

UK politics: We were always told that the big advantage of First Past the Post is that it produces stable governments. How’s that working out? #GeneralElectioNow

Agree. Neither metric is a “result”. Even coverage achieved is only part of the story: Did you sway opinion or stimulate an action? That’s the real measure of #PR success, which requires a holistic, cumulative approach
PR tip of the day - Just took the @muckrack PR survey and it asked if I measure results in # of pitches sent or journalists reached - nope. It doesn't work that way. This is how reporter inboxes get filled with junk.

In office for 12 years, but the lack of growth is everybody else’s fault. Got it.
