Basically:
More long wavelength light (LWL)= good.
More blue light = bad.
Overall:
You’re going to have to work a bit for LWL the same way you must to eat healthily.
Accept that the default settings of modern culture are rarely in your best health interest. It’s all up to you.
🚨🚨🚨In 2007 Congress passed a law that banned all bulbs under 45 lumens/watt (an incandescent bulb is 15 lumens/watt). The Department of Energy in 2022 made the final rule to go into effect in 2023 (which it did). In 2024 a new rule passed which will go into effect in 2028 that will make LEDs even worse by raising the ratio to 125 lumens/watt meaning that LEDs will be even more narrow spectrum than before. We already know that these bulbs hurt our vision and this is a law from Congress and CANNOT be reversed by an executive order. A way of preventing this is to sign a petition that will create a new category of bulbs that we can use not subject to this new rule.
Here is the new rule:

Soon we will realize that short wavelength (UV & blue) light is akin to cheap processed (mostly) empty calories. Long wavelength Red & IR light is the high quality protein of the light for health world. My campaign to bring back incandescent lights has begun. & get sunlight too!

"Longer wavelengths in sunlight pass through the human body and have a systemic impact which improves vision"
Perhaps those processed lights which are devoid of "longer wavelengths" should go along with processed food.

Fascinating discovery:
Near-infrared light (830 - 860nm) improves eye function *even when the eyes themselves are completely blocked from exposure*. We've long known about systemic effects of red light therapy, but this ability to improve distal tissue function is a novel finding.
Even more impressive is the fact that the improvement was measured 24 hours after only 15 minutes of exposure! And the IR light penetrated through clothing effectively as well.
Bottom line. Spend more time outside.

New York's socialist mayoral frontrunner says his policies will lower housing and food prices, and reduce crime and disorder. They won't. They'll increase them. The reason he won is because he pandered to young voters afflicted by envy, entitlement, and willful ignorance.

Sleeping with the lights on may be harming your metabolism.
A study found that just one night of moderate light exposure (100 lx) during sleep:
📈 Increased insulin resistance by ~15% (HOMA-IR)
❤️ Elevated heart rate & reduced HRV (↑ sympathetic activation)

What's happening in North Carolina right now in the aftermath of Helene is by all rights one of the great scandals in American history. A devastating failure by the federal government. Bureaucratic incompetence and indifference on a catastrophic scale, resulting in the needless deaths of hundreds of Americans. Kamala should lose the election in a landslide just because of this disaster alone. It's that bad. And yet the media ignores the story almost completely.

At what point is it fair to conclude that our government has been captured by something hostile to the Republic and its citizens? FEMA is literally claiming it doesn't have the money to manage an emergency. Military helicopter crews are grounded. Civilians with helicopters are ordered not to intervene. Same vibe as Maui and Katrina.
Feels like we're there.
