The older you get, the more you realize that growth is not about fixing all of your problems, rather it’s learning which problems aren’t worth fixing.

Your brain does not wait for permission before it builds a habit. It watches what you do after pressure. If pressure leads to escape, escape becomes familiar. If pressure leads to action, action becomes familiar. And no, this did not come from Atomic Habits.

It’s actually not fine. Dogs are not disposable. If you dump your dog when it is no longer convenient, do not *ever*get another one. You do not deserve their love and loyalty.
It’s actually fine to rehome your dog after you have kids, don’t suffer through the little kid / baby phase with a dog if it’s causing more stress to your life. It’s okay. It’s just a dog. You can have another dog when the kids are older and can help you do all the things. Dogs are not members of your family, they are just animals, and they actually are disposable if you decide you’re not in a position to take care of them anymore.

If you observe human nature long enough, you begin to see that most people aren’t hostile, they’re simply inconsistent, impulsive, or ruled by emotions they refuse to understand. Once you accept this, disappointment turns into clarity instead of bitterness.

When your final curtain falls, your bank accounts and material hoarding evaporate. The only wealth that crosses the finish line with you is the love, kindness, and value you poured into others while breathing. Wht you give away during your life is the exact thing you get to keep

Good morning! This is your friendly reminder that epic fantasy will never die. There are hundreds if not thousands of authors like myself out there for you to read. We might not have star power, but what do have is heart. And heart means a good story waiting to be read.

“When your story is ready for rewrite, cut it to the bone. Get rid of every ounce of excess fat. This is going to hurt; revising a story down to the bare essentials is always a little like murdering children, but it must be done.” — Stephen King

After spending yesterday slaving away making videos, trailers, ads, updating my website and writing a newsletter... I sold 4 books! And as it's currently just $0.99, I made enough to retire on...😂

Behind the painted smile it hides. Where quiet, crushing chaos glides. Two little words, a polished plea, to mask the storm inside of me. I say I'm fine, the perfect lie, to keep the world from asking why.

Holiday plans. These, plus Karen Hao's "Empire of AI". Already started with "The Three-Body Problem". "Lalka" is an amazing Polish novel that has been adapted for film and will be in cinemas soon, so I want to refresh it. I'm too optimistic about time to read probably 😅 #books
