Sorry to do this 🥴
But I started a little online shop for Arsenal Women fans this week, called '87-N5.
There will be items for every player & more.
Mugs currently available:
Lia Walti
Alessia Russo
Emily Fox
Leah Williamson
Renée Slegers / Champions of Europe
See below :)
Do I have any adult Barcelona followers (or any kind Barca people) who know the city well and in particular know of bars/venues either near Camp Nou or an easy travel from somewhere in the city to the stadium?
I have zero idea if it's connected, but last time Arsenal Women were looking for a new manager we were reportedly looking at Elisabet Gunnarsdóttir
She has just left her job as Belgium's coach
Possibly no connection but it wouldn't surprise me if we looked at previous names :/
No idea if he would be drawn back to a big WSL side with a good role in the US, but my gut feeling was we would look again to Nick Cushing. Not saying i favour either of these, just the sort of thing I suspect we might do (along with other candidates). No idea.

You’ve heard the views of ministers, other politicians, the global heating industry and compliant media, now hear the view of science.
Jackdaw: a decision for last century. climateuncensored.com/jackda…
A hastily drafted post following the UK Govt’s decision to approve further drilling & production at the Jackdaw gas field in the N.Sea. Please excuse typos, non-sequiturs, etc - I wanted to get the post online today.

wrote something a bit longer about Arsenal after the international break/this season so far, appreciate it if you read!

Apropos of nothing, I thought it was a little poor that the Emirates stadium announcer didn't welcome Élisa onto the pitch with any reference to making her debut & just treated it like nothing.
Esp. given the difficult start she faced. Just seemed a bit off & disappointing.
New keeper with some language barriers
Right-footed LB
Right-footed LCB
Teenage RB
New midfield
2 young wingers
One-dimensional CF weak against low blocks
Russo in 10 but without optimal fwds around to support it enough
We feel weird
❤️⚪
At least we found out what our new set piece coach is bringing to the team today.
Which seemed to be "Lisa takes a few steps towards the ball without ever looking like taking it, then leave it for Smilla to whip one"
Using the kids for deception.
The fruits will come
❤️⚪

It just doesn't feel like there is nearly enough accountability for those above the coach
The impression it gives me is that they won't do the work to find a successor to Clare. They'll let her do what she does (or doesn't) & they'll just monitor/decide what they can have...
Whatever one feels with Renée's confusing start to this season, it just feels to me this Arsenal Women's team are paying for both a lack of foresight & ruthlessness (and accountability) behind the scenes over a number of years as to the squad construction 🧵
None of them feel in tune with the women's game to have enough knowledge as to how to succeed. They're like Ballon d'Or voter types who know a few names and narratives at best. Their interest feels wholely excited by our growth, and I think they think that that is enough...
