The Sustainable Development Goals are ambitious because the challenges we face are immense.
But commitments must be matched with transformative action to build a fairer, safer and more sustainable world.

This is a powerful milestone and congratulations to all the 11 countries. I am proud of Team #Rwanda for the strong leadership of Government and the active engagement of communities and civil society and the collective push for integration at the primary health care level. The focus now is to ensure #Kenya and #SouthSudan join this league of high-performing countries.
In Kenya, we are working with government and partners to close the remaining gaps in testing, treatment and viral suppression, while strengthening prevention, integration and sustainability. The triple threat (HIV, early pregnancy and sexual/gender-based violence) is a high priority for government.
For South Sudan, the priority is to expand access and continuity of HIV services despite the profound humanitarian and system challenges. The recent grant-making process in-country for the Global Fund GC8 and the mini-MOU with the US Government have prioritized self-reliance and sustainability through domestic investments to strengthen the health system and community systems for impact and towards the attainment of UHC.
The ambition is clear: 95-95-95 for every population, in every setting, and no one left behind.
Good news! 11 countries have achieved the 95-95-95 HIV testing and treatment targets in 2025!
Despite the progress, disparities continue to exist: between men and women, and children and adults.
Ending AIDS requires achieving the targets across all populations.

The fossil fuel industry showed up to UN climate talks at COP 30 last year more than 1,600 lobbyists deep.
Not 16. Not 160. More than 1,600.
Sit with that for a second.
Why does an industry whose profits depend on continued oil, gas, and coal use send so many representatives to a conference dedicated to tackling the climate crisis?
Because what happens in those rooms matters to their profitable bottom line.
And that’s exactly why access matters.
Add your name and tell the country delegations headed to this year’s COP 31 climate summit: Fossil fuel lobbyists should not be shaping the negotiations meant to move us beyond fossil fuels.

The path to ending AIDS by 2030 demands bold leadership, stronger partnerships, and sustained investment.
Today, Dr. Anne Githuku-Shongwe, UNAIDS Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa, and Dr. Garry Conille, UN Resident Coordinator in Kenya, discussed how the new Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS can drive action through the UN80 reforms, stronger Joint Programme collaboration, sustainable domestic financing, and African leadership in shaping the future of the global HIV response.
As development financing evolves, protecting human rights, advancing gender equality, strengthening community leadership, and delivering as One will be critical to ensuring that no one is left behind.
