Firefish Social is now being run behind @fastly 's awesome services, which should help with load as well as error rate observation! More info (probably a blog post) soon.

They described it to me as made by and for queer artists, but obviously non queer users are super welcome. It kinda feels like everything on twitter but with a few more features and options. Though I warn it’s a browser app rn. this is the landing page: joinfirefish.org/

Not to like,,, continue to pile on social media alternatives. But my friend Kainoa made one called FireFish Social and showed me it. I kinda dig the UI and media options. Hope they’re proud of it! Thought I’d shout it out rq and if yall wanna follow me there too that’d be rad

#Calckey is a community-run, decentralized social media platform on the Fediverse. It can interop with other platforms like @joinmastodon , @PixelFed , and more, but offers a more Twitter-esque experience with quote posts, full text search, and a lot more. calckey.org

I'd seriously recommend you look at Calckey. We have many community run servers, some with specific focus on LGBTQ and even more specifically trans topics. calckey.org/join/#lgbtq+
