Johnstown gets a bad rap sometimes. But look at this 👇 A group of young men — born, raised, and proud to be from Johnstown. Many now raising their own families here. They’ve come through our youth system — coached and mentored by volunteers who gave their time & energy 💚 People like the late, great Christy Kavanagh, who helped build the foundations we stand on today. Some have represented Ireland 🇮🇪. They’ve played at the highest level in the country. And yet, they’re back — helping their community club. Because that’s what Johnstown FC means: Pride. Belonging. Togetherness. --- This weekend, we made history 🏅 ➡️ Division 1 Champions for the first time in our 21-year history ➡️ Our 5th senior title overall And in a few weeks, we’ll walk out in United Park, Drogheda, on Nov 8th, to compete in the O’Neills Challenge Cup Final 🔰 --- What makes it special? The work behind the scenes. Thousands of volunteer hours — coaches, committee, parents, supporters — all giving freely 🙌 Because Johnstown FC isn’t just about football — it’s about developing better people. Teaching respect, teamwork, and pride in where you come from. That’s the real win 💫 --- We’re asking the Johnstown community — and the wider community — to get behind us. We need our council, local reps, and national politicians to back us too. Because this — right here — is what community looks like 👇 Volunteers, families, players, and supporters all pulling together to give people something to be proud of. --- Johnstown FC is the vehicle for the future of this area — a living example of what’s possible when people care about their community. With the right backing, we can deliver the much-needed facilities this area deserves — for our kids, families, and generations to come 🏡 Here in Johnstown FC, you’ve got people who care. People who give their time, week in and week out, to make this place better. People who want to build a future — not just for football, but for the whole community. --- Next stop: Challenge Cup Final — November 8th. Let’s show what Johnstown is all about 🔥 #UptheJohnner #communityclub #proud #Johnstown #Navan #Meath #future #champions – at Meath, Ireland
