Only because our administration is so poor. How can you send lads economy class on a bus ride and 3 flights and expect them to compete. Union went pro and league in the northern hemisphere went amateur. No rep programme all season. No warm
Up games. No equivalent trial games to origin. Simply pathetic from the @TheRFL
Me and @rlcoachonthenet delve into England’s history/making loss to Tonga and what it means, on the new episode of Super League 360:

If there's just one article you can read about the desparate state English/British Rugby League is in right now - make sure it's this one. A brilliant, but utterly sobering, appraisal of the situation by @johnnyddavidson

Definitely seen the fall in quality of Super League since COVID. Even a decade ago England had some real star quality, not so much these days, with a few exceptions.

Considered & well balanced this.
Change is needed!
The historic defeat to Tonga in Perth is a sign of the ever-shifting landscape of rugby league, with England being left behind.

I'm sure our football/soccer friends know this instinctively but the best thing about the World Cup so far has been the human element and seeing so many friends who I don't get to see so often. First four days have been magical.

England need this. The administrators in the Northern Hemisphere need to know just how miles off we are now. A 'brave' semi-final exit gets us nowhere.
