Liars. Health Insurance isn't the same thing as healthcare. Yes, Medicare for All would replace most duplicative private health insurance with a national insurance program. That’s the point of a single-payer system. But your lie that it would take away Americans’ freedom to choose their doctors is contradicted by the actual Medicare for All legislation. Go read Section 103. It’s literally titled “Freedom of Choice.” It says patients may obtain healthcare from any institution, agency, or individual qualified to participate in the program. The 2025 legislation also covers hospital care, physicians, prescription drugs, mental-health care, dental, vision, reproductive care, and long-term care, without the traditional deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance for covered services. And think about the system you’re defending. Private insurance companies already decide which doctors are “in network,” which hospitals you can use without enormous bills, which drugs they’ll cover, whether they’ll approve a procedure, whether you need prior authorization, and how much of the bill they’ll actually pay. Losing your employer can mean losing your insurance network altogether. Calling that unlimited “freedom to choose” doesn’t make it so. Medicare for All would dramatically change who pays for healthcare. That’s a legitimate factual description of the proposal. Saying it would prohibit duplicative private insurance is also accurate. But saying Americans would therefore lose the freedom to choose their doctors is not what the bill says. The bill explicitly provides the opposite. If you’re going to attack Medicare for All, at least attack the Medicare for All legislation that actually exists, not the version you invented. Nice try though. We are paying attention.
