Nepal is an incredible country. It is also occasionally very difficult to get around. The floods were devastating enough. Now more heavy rain has arrived. My concerns are minuscule compared to those affected. But my plan to drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu for the UK book launch has been cancelled by landslides, so today I'm trying to fly instead. I'll get there eventually. The first weeks of my walk were cold. Very cold. I was walking between 2,000 and 3,000 metres in January and spent much of my time trying to stay warm. The people I met seemed completely unfazed. Hardy, friendly and wrapped in whatever clothing they could find.
