So many questions about the Greenbelt scandal.
How did a developer whose proposal reached the housing minister’s office in June 2021 end up having that exact property removed from the Greenbelt in November 2022, and who was involved in making that decision? #onpoli

Doug Ford scapegoated students and cut their OSAP grants saying they were abusing it.
Now we know the potential abuse was happening in a handful of private colleges with ties to the Ford government, now referred to the OPP.
Stop making students pay for the government’s failures. Reverse the OSAP grant cuts to students in the public sector. Immediately the OSAP loans to students in legitimate career programs. #onpoli

So heartbreaking to hear the news from CFB Wainwright. My thoughts and love are with everyone affected. Families, friends, colleagues, first responders. My thanks for the actions of all the brave women and men who do some of the hardest work imaginable.
Heartbreaking news from CFB Wainwright. Our thoughts are with all CAF personnel affected.
To the loved ones, family, and friends of these brave men and women, our hearts go out to you.
Thanks to the first responders, doctors, nurses and all those providing aid in this tragedy.

Layoff notices have gone out to workers in some career colleges. Students who had OSAP taken away are being told if they can’t pay their tuition they will have to drop out. They can’t pay their rent, tuition, groceries, bills. These are future PSWs, ECEs, social workers…
Meanwhile, Premier @fordnation and Minister @nolanmquinn are silent. Do your job. Reverse this decision, and restore the grants to public students while you’re at it. #FixOSAP #onpoli

"We can confirm that the Office of the Auditor General received a notification from the government last week. This was separate from the request for an audit received from MPP Tyler Watt."
"While the minister has the power to request a 'special assignment,' it’s unclear why the government chose to only notify the auditor as opposed to request a performance audit – similar to Liberal MPP Tyler Watt’s request." #onpoli #FixOSAPasap

Hard working students are being made to pay the price for @nolanmquinn's mistakes.
Rather than target colleges under investigation, Doug Ford and Quinn froze OSAP for students across all career colleges. It was a crucial mistake.
Minister Quinn must resign.

Career colleges in Ontario raised concerns directly with the government about potential abuse in the system.
That’s the part our Interim Leader, John Fraser, says Ontarians shouldn’t lose sight of: they knew. They were warned. They waited.
And now they're making students deal with the fallout.

🚨 #BREAKING: Last year, students at just three Academy of Learning campuses received more than $219 million in OSAP grants.
Now we know the career college owners at the centre of this scandal donated to @OntarioPCParty, hired former Premier's Office staff as their lobbyists, and had PC ministers and MPPs at ribbon-cuttings for the worst-offending campuses.
Doug Ford's government was inspecting these campuses with one hand and cutting ribbons with the other.
We've been asking how this was allowed to go on for so long.
Is this why the government looked the other way?

💥The Great OSAP Heist: The political connection between Indian MPs and the OSAP scandal cannot be ignored—and reinforces arguments that foreign actors don't belong in Canadian politics.
When the Academy of Learning's Brampton East campus held its opening ceremony in November 2025, the occasion was attended by the Conservative MP Amarjeet Gill and two Ontario PC cabinet-adjacent figures, Transportation Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria and MPP Amarjot Sandhu. A year earlier, a Mississauga franchisee appeared alongside Premier Doug Ford at a Diwali gala.
And as the scandal widened, the government began to use its own oversight failure to justify a broader retrenchment. Having spent three years being warned, the province moved to cut student-aid grants for students at universities and public colleges — institutions that had nothing to do with the fraud — citing "unsustainable" OSAP costs.

This morning, I joined @CTVYMOttawa to discuss the OSAP scandal.
Doug Ford needs to immediately reinstate OSAP for students who followed the rules. Keep the bad actors cut off, investigate them, and make affected students whole.
The government must also reverse its OSAP grant cuts to public colleges and universities. Their claims that OSAP was unsustainable deserve serious scrutiny in light of what we now know.
Students should not be paying the price for this government’s failures. #onpoli

Only in Doug Ford’s government can a minister oversee a billion-dollar mess, leave hundreds of millions in questions behind, and then make students and families pay the price — and still keep his job.
John Fraser’s point is simple: accountability has to mean something.

The Ford government needs to immediately restore OSAP for students. Cut off the bad actors, not those who followed the rules and are trying to build better lives and contribute to Ontario.
MPP @JohnFraserOS and I visited Algonquin Career Academy to hear directly from future PSWs, paralegals, and lab techs whose education is now at risk.
The government was warned about problems with OSAP for years. Now students are paying the price for its failure to act. #onpoli

Today in Ottawa, career college students shared heartbreaking stories with @JohnFraserOS and @tylerwatt.
They went back to school for a better life. One month in, the Ford government paused their OSAP.
The minister keeps his job. They lose their chance at a better one.

Doug Ford is hoping you don’t read this thread.
If you want to understand what’s really happening in Ontario’s emergency departments, read this from @ShamjiAdil. Ford’s government has been making ER wait times worse for years, and a task force now is too little, too late. 🧵⬇️

Four years ago - almost to this day - I showed how @fordnation’s own data indicated emergency department performance and wait times were the worst in Ontario’s history.
Years later, he’s suddenly pretending to do something about it.
Here’s why I’m not buying any of it ⬇️

Ontario has paused OSAP payments for students at private postsecondary institutions while it investigates concerns concentrated at a small number of schools.
Students who followed the rules shouldn’t be the ones paying the price.
