Churning these out before the draft tonight. A boom-or-bust receiver with tantalizing traits.

Happy Draft Day! Going to be putting two of these out today. Here’s the first one about a RB who should hear his name tomorrow.

The Bengals have no depth on either side of the ball and they need these 2nd/3rd/4th round picks to be able to play. Draft best player available on either side of the ball! If it’s a receiver - take them.
Love love love the Dexter Lawrence trade. Impossible to not like it. This draft class lacked what the Bengals needed at 10 so they used the asset on a premium player.
My board for the Bengals at 41:
1. Ponds
2. Germie Bernard
3. Keylan Rutledge
4. Jadarian Price
Chris Shula and Jesse Minter are the top coaching priorities for the Bengals this offseason. Defensive mind with Burrow running the show on offense.
This is the first time I’ve had eyes on both Sayin and Mendoza and they both concern me. Sayin is going to have a hard time with his height and his lack of athleticism and Mendoza is also just nowhere near athletic enough for the NFL. He reminds me of a worse Jared Goff.
For the Bengals if Reese and Downs are off the board give me David Bailey>Peter Woods. We need a DT badly, but Bailey is just better. Don’t care about the lack of size because he plays bigger than his size.
The Bengals should be searching for a coach that emphasizes trench play. For the past decade (the start of the decline of Geno and Dunlap and the end of Whitworth), the Bengals have gotten pushed back every week on the line of scrimmage. This is a must going forward.
As a SCar alum and Bengals fan who watched every SCar game this year, D Knight was the best player on the field usually for both teams. He was everywhere and played harder than everyone. Bengals fans will love him. Massive upgrade over Pratt imo.
Al Golden DC thoughts:
I think it’s a fascinating hire and last night’s game was not at all a representation of what’s going to happen in the NFL. OSU had 16 draftable players. 16! ND had Xavier Watts. To get as far as they did with an unathletic d speaks volumes.
A few Bengals thoughts from this weekend and looking into the future.
1. Someone has to go and at the minimum it has to be Frank Pollack. I think there’s a path for this line to be better and they need a new voice.

2. Khalil Herbert proved worthy of the 7th rounder they traded for him. The Bengals should be making more of these types of moves in the future.
3. The Bengals have a bigger hole at LG than they do anywhere else on the roster including DL.
