St Mary’s University College is marking 125 years of teacher education in Belfast.
Former students whose experiences span more than 10 decades, from the darkest years of the conflict to today, united to share memories of their time at the college.
St Joseph’s Training College, founded in 1961 as a Catholic teacher‑training college for men, operated alongside St Mary’s Training College for women until the two merged in 1985 to form today’s St Mary’s University College on the Falls Road.
