God Still Speaks
Have you ever asked God to speak to you? It can be tempting to think that we could have more faith if God would simply speak to us out loud. If God would just speak in a way that we want Him to, then we would know that He is real and exists.
While at one time God spoke to and through prophets, He has primarily spoken to us through His Word. Scripture is God’s means of communicating with His people. Every time we open up God’s Word, we are listening to the words of God Himself.
That’s why Scripture says the Word of God is alive and active. It is the primary way that God speaks to His people—to share His message and direct our ways. God’s Word actively refreshes us, and provides us with wisdom for living.
The author of Hebrews also tells us that Scripture is like a sword that can cut and divide our innermost places. God’s Word reveals our true heart. It exposes our emotions and thoughts, and then guides us toward what is right.
God’s Word is full of refreshment for our weariness. It speaks encouragement to those who follow Him and listen to His voice. Scripture is also full of God’s truth that guides us into right-living. It shapes our hearts and minds toward loving God and loving those around us.
One of the best things you can do for your life is to engage in Scripture daily. If we rarely read God’s Word, then we will rarely hear His voice speaking to us. The more that we develop regular habits of engaging with God, the easier it will be to hear and follow His guidance.
So take some time to consider how you can create a daily habit of engaging in God’s Word and spending time in prayer. God wants to speak to you, but we must come to Him ready to listen.

John 1:1
bible.com/en/videos/55920?or…
The Best Word
One of the most powerful verses in Scripture is found in John’s gospel:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 ESV
As you keep reading, it becomes abundantly clear that the author, inspired by the Holy Spirit, identifies Jesus Christ as the “Word.”
From the first sentence in the Bible, we learn that, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Now, John explains, “In the beginning was the Word…” And not only was Jesus there in the beginning, but “the Word was with God…” And not only was the Word with God, but “the Word was God.”
So if Jesus has existed from the beginning, if He was with God, and if He was God, then that makes Him much more than a good person, a moral teacher, or even a prophet.
John claims that Jesus is fully man and fully God. Which seems ridiculous—unless, of course, it’s true.
The truth is, God loved the world so much that He gave up His divine privileges, was born into human skin, and died a criminal’s death—so that the people He loves could have eternal life. People like you.
Remember: He’s not just another name from history, He’s the very Creator of life.
_____
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one You sent to earth.

The most powerful Hallelujah is not always shouted in victory or sung in celebration. Sometimes, it is whispered through tears, lifted from a heart shattered by loss, and carried by a soul that has endured more pain than words could ever express. It is the sacred praise of a spirit that refuses to surrender its faith, even when sorrow overwhelms the heart. For the greatest Hallelujah is not always born from happiness, but from the courage to keep loving, the strength to keep believing, and the faith to recognize God's goodness even through life's deepest heartbreak. Because when everything else seems lost, love remains one of God's greatest gifts, and even through our tears, He remains worthy of our Hallelujah.

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
When the storms of life bring you to your knees, lift your hands toward Heaven, surrender your burdens to Almighty God, and remember that the same Jesus Christ who calmed the raging sea has the power to calm your troubled heart. The storm may change your circumstances, but it can never change God's faithfulness. Amen — J.C. STEMPLE
TRUST IN GOD: FINDING PEACE AMIDST LIFE’S STORMS
BY J.C. STEMPLE
DIEHARD DISCIPLE COLLECTION
There comes a moment in every person's life when the storms become greater than our strength, the burdens heavier than our shoulders can carry, and the uncertainty of tomorrow challenges everything we believe. We face heartbreak, disappointment, suffering, loss, and battles that test the very foundation of our faith. Sometimes, the greatest storms are not the ones raging around us, but the silent battles taking place within our hearts.
Yet, in the midst of life's most difficult moments, one eternal truth remains unchanged: Almighty God is faithful, His promises are everlasting, and His love never fails.
Trust in God: Finding Peace Amidst Life's Storms is more than a message about overcoming adversity. It is a journey of faith, spiritual strength, unconditional surrender, and discovering the extraordinary peace that comes from placing our lives completely in the hands of our Heavenly Father.
God never promised that our journey would be free from suffering, that every prayer would receive the answer we desired, or that every storm would immediately disappear. But through His Holy Word, He reminds us that we are never abandoned, never forgotten, and never beyond the reach of His grace.
Sometimes the greatest demonstration of faith is not standing strong when everything is going right, but falling to our knees when everything is going wrong and declaring, "Lord, I still trust You."
When the world offers uncertainty, Almighty God offers eternal hope. When fear overwhelms our hearts, Jesus Christ offers peace beyond human understanding. And when life's storms threaten to destroy everything around us, we must remember that the same Savior who commanded the wind and the waves to be still has the power to bring peace to our troubled souls.
True faith is not measured by how loudly we praise God during our victories, but by how faithfully we seek Him through our greatest struggles. True surrender begins when we stop asking God to follow our plans and begin trusting His divine purpose for our lives.
Whatever storm you are facing today, remember this: Your circumstances do not determine God's faithfulness. Your suffering does not diminish His love. And your darkest moments do not mean He has abandoned you.
The storm may be greater than your strength, but it will never be greater than Almighty God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

God's Word Changes Us
Scripture is one of the most important aspects of the Christian faith.
God has revealed important and beautiful things about Himself through His creation and His Spirit, but one of the primary ways He's chosen to speak to us is through His Word.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us first and foremost that Scripture is God-breathed. This means that it's inspired by God, making the Bible unlike any other book—because God divinely inspired human authors to write this collection of letters, books, and sacred writings.
More than that, Scripture has the power to radically change our lives—when we choose to read it and live it out. Paul tells us that Scripture is able to teach us, rebuke us, correct us, prepare us, and equip us for every good work. When we choose to engage in God's Word, God's Spirit works in us and through us in ways we cannot fully fathom.
When we read God’s Word, we should be attentive to what God is communicating to us. He may want to correct some of our wrong thinking or behavior, empower us to share His message of hope with others, or teach us something about Himself.
As we read Scripture and put what we learn into practice, we grow. Our desires change, our hearts expand, and our focus shifts. Reading the Bible also refines our perspectives and equips us for every good work that God wants to do through us.
Engaging with God’s Word is the primary way that God equips us for the life He planned for us.
So today, ask yourself: How can I continue to build a habit of reading God's Word? How can I bring others along with me? How can I put into practice everything I've learned?

JASON PRIEST: SCORPIONS IN A BOWL
THE DEADLIEST SCORPION IS THE ONE YOU NEVER SEE COMING.
BY J.C. STEMPLE
DIEHARD DISCIPLE COLLECTION
The first rule of survival is knowing when the enemy is watching. The second is making certain he never sees you coming. Forged in the unforgiving deserts of the Middle East, former Special Operations sniper Jason Priest mastered both. His classified missions demanded extraordinary patience, discipline, and precision. While deployed, he studied and raised desert scorpions, including one he named Tail, whose instincts helped shape his deadly Scorpion Doctrine: Never strike angry. Know the field. Know the threat. Strike once.
But Priest's deadliest mission is about to begin inside The Bowl, a heavily fortified Nebraska prison housing cartel leaders, international assassins, extremists, and criminal masterminds. Behind its walls, a secret organization is uniting rival criminal empires to coordinate assassinations, cyberattacks, and operations capable of threatening national security. Sent inside to expose the conspiracy, Priest discovers that the men controlling the prison know exactly who he is—and may have arranged his arrival to ensure he never leaves alive.
Surrounded by killers, stripped of his rifle, and trapped inside a fortress where every movement is monitored, Priest must turn the prison itself into his battlefield. His enemies believe they control every advantage. But the deadliest weapon Jason Priest possesses has never been the rifle in his hands. It is the mind behind it.
They built The Bowl to contain the world's most dangerous predators. They never imagined that the man they brought inside would begin hunting the very people controlling it.
They control the prison. They control the killers. They control The Bowl. But no one controls Jason Priest.
WELCOME TO THE BOWL.

GOD IS MY PEACE
When the World Shakes, My Faith Stands Firm.
God is my peace, not because my life is free from storms, struggles, pain, or uncertainty, but because I know Who walks beside me through them all. When my heart grows weary, He gives me strength. When my burdens become overwhelming, He reminds me to surrender what I cannot control. When the world offers confusion, He offers comfort. My peace does not come from my circumstances, but from my unwavering faith in Almighty God and His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus. I may not understand every trial, but I trust the One who holds my tomorrow. For even in my darkest moments, His presence is greater than my fears, His promises are stronger than my struggles, and His love is sufficient to carry me through.
God is my peace because even when everything around me is falling apart, I know the One holding me together will never let me go.— J.C. Stemple

Praying Honestly
Are you honest with God when you pray?
Lots of people struggle with being completely honest with God. Instead, they pick and choose the things they pray about—the things they bring before Him. They hide certain sins and confess others that aren’t as embarrassing.
But Scripture says that we don’t need to clean up our lives before coming to God. God is the one who created us, and He already knows everything about us. So there is nothing that we can hide from Him. He knows the innermost parts of our thoughts and desires.
The writer of Psalm 139 prays for God to search his heart and mind, and to bring up anything that he might be unaware of that is hiding beneath the surface. This is a prayer that we’re all invited to pray.
We cannot be healed from the things we try to hide. In order to experience the grace and mercy of God, we must bring everything to Him. When He searches us and brings things to mind, He’s inviting us to humbly confess them to Him.
The prayer in Psalm 139 is an open and honest plea for God to continue to purify and sanctify our hearts. God can handle the heaviest parts of us, and He is not surprised by what happens in our thoughts.
Honesty before God is the only way we can grow into the people He wants us to be. We cannot grow in our spiritual lives by hiding secrets or guarding our thoughts from God.
So take a moment today to make Psalm 139 your prayer. Ask God to search your heart and see if there is anything hiding that you’re unaware of. When He brings something up, take it to Him and ask for forgiveness. Ask for the power of His Spirit to lead and guide you through this time.
God is faithful and merciful to continue to love us in spite of our shortcomings. He will continue to walk with you and lead you into eternal life with Him.
