Did you know? The London Underground opened in 1863. The Copenhagen metro opened in 2002. Also, there’s a qualified driver on every DLR train. Which just proves you can’t replace skilled workers with an (incorrect) post on X!
Did you know? Tube drivers are going on strike. AGAIN. Eight walkouts with 16 DAYS of disruption. SIX just before Christmas. Meanwhile, in Copenhagen, their metro has NO drivers. It runs 24/7 and carried 135 MILLION passengers last year. PLUS, for years it has been run by a BRITISH company. We’ve helped other nations build and operate driverless metros. We even have our OWN. The DLR has been running without drivers since 1987. So why do we still have to deal with Tube strikes? London is a 24/7 city, and the Tube should be too. More trains. Running all night. With NO more DISRUPTION due to strikes. Automate the Tube. If TFL won't do it, Parliament should! What do you think?

Let this sink in.... its now TWO years since this line was completed and still no stopping passenger service has commenced.
Today marked the 2nd anniversary of EWR between Bicester and Bletchley opening. Two Class 196s met at Winslow. And the TRU in Claydon Loop. Yes the rain was torrential so images not the best. But possibly historic.

If I had a pound for every time I heard “xx train company isn’t valid on this train” … I’d have enough money to not buy toc specific tickets

65th minute of my journey and I’m speeding through my originating station. #Makeitmakesense 18:02 Bromsgrove > Birmingham 18:42 Birmingham > Bristol Parkway 20:06 Bristol Parkway > Cardiff 3 hours to travel South, an hour wasted by traveling north

Funny you should ask… On frequent occasions do I have to travel 30 minutes north from Bromsgrove to change at Birmingham to make a journey south to Gloucestershire, Bristol or South Wales. @ChrisBloore @BradleyThomasUK @CrossCountryUK

If you see something that doesn’t look right … @BTP
We may have to get the railway byelaws updated. It's understandable though, @LNER dessert pots are VERY tasty.

Such a great use of capacity. Especially with the reduced EMR Intercity at the moment. Top job @LNER #Teamwork
To help customers travelling to and from London during engineering work on Sunday 30 August 2026, we're operating two return Newcastle to Bedford services. The trains will support more comfortable journeys and reduce necessary changes. More info here: lner.co.uk/news/lner-to-oper…

Unfortunately this service was too busy to board with the rear coaches locked out of use. I will now arrive at my destination 30 minutes later than planned
