'Sport as you know it. Sport as you may never have seen it.' Very proud to have reported on the Special Olympics GB National Games for @BBCBreakfast
My sincere thanks to @rasheedspeede and @SOGreatBritain
Here is the piece to close the Games, and to imagine a future
Sublime thrill to walk past Paul Weller on Oxford Street this afternoon. At least, I think it was him. I’m guessing he’d been down in the tube station at midday.
Dancers are now more famous than the celebrities #strictly
Oh man @BristolFlyers - great effort. And an enthralling start to the season @SprLeagueBballM - encouraging!
After a glimpse of Estonia’s decathletes - I have no concerns about NATO’s strength. #eurochamps
Does @dan_routledge know, what percentage of currently active basketball players called ‘Johnson’ have at one point signed for Leicester @RidersBball ?
It feels like every Johnson except Magic.
Argentina winning the World Cup would be like the net winning Wimbledon #ArgentinaVsEspaña
It’s rather like a petulant pre-season rugby match with someone’s dad roped in to ref #engvarg
The sun is shining and Vic Marks is on @bbctms The world, if only an illusion, appears well.
Really, we should all be grateful for the crisis in German football. It may stop Jurgen Klopp doing commercials.
Wonderful drama and terrific commentary at the World Cup this evening. That’s the Women’s T20 World Cup.
Fascinating and engaging film, highly recommend, 29 minutes very well spent

Were these incredible performances at the TCS London Marathon really four weeks ago???
You can still support our 10 #TeamSOGB athletes in their fundraising for our Special Olympics National Summer Games

On my way to the O2 for the play-off finals. Two teams going for quadruples this season and two underdogs standing in their way. Both games on the BBC, share the links around!

So pleased to bring this piece together. Thanks to @Everton and @SOGreatBritain and of course to Jack Grealish. Have wanted to talk to him about disability and sport for many years. Great to do that for @BBCBreakfast with @rasheedspeede
'I think inclusion is a massive part'
On #BBCBreakfast footballer Jack Grealish treated some of the 10 Special Olympics GB athletes who completed the London marathon to a VIP tour of Everton's stadium

It’s a few decades since I last took part in this…well, the ONE time I took part in this. Madness. But - of course - a Medbourne fan for life.
Since 1770 the village of Hallaton has had an annual Easter Monday battle with locals from the neighbouring village of Medbourne. The day starts with Hare Pie-Scrambling where pieces of pie are blessed and thrown into the crowd, followed by a sport with few rules; Bottle-Kicking.
1978: Easter Monday is the time for Pie-Scrambling and Bottle-Kicking.
Easter Monday is not a quiet day in Hallaton, Leicestershire. Since 1770 the village has had an annual battle with locals from the neighbouring village of Medbourne.
Hope anyone training for the marathon follows the advice from Angus; crucial sleep! @iamAlexHowell @SarahDawkins23 @Raworthontherun @TimHutchings1
Returning to London 💪 Angus Leckonby will run his second @LondonMarathon on 26 April, as one of 10 #TeamSOGB athletes with intellectual disabilities taking on the 26.2-miles
Last year Angus became the Youngest & Fastest Male (II1) to Run a Marathon @GWR

Great to know that our film ‘Special Olympics - The World in Turin’ is shortlisted for an international award with AIPS. I’m so grateful to @rasheedspeede and to those who backed it at the BBC @BBCBreakfast @ggoford @redhels @BBCNews
