VAR checked the referee’s call of goal to Everton – and determined that Johnson was interfering with an opponent while in an offside position and recommended an on-field review.
REF: “Everton No.22 is in an offside position. He impacts the goalkeeper’s ability to save the ball. My final decision is indirect free-kick”.
Delighted for Charly Alcaraz. Unreliable on the ball at times but he always impacts games and offers a goal threat. Needs to be given more opportunities with our lack of forward options. #EFC

It will be 32 years (at least) since our last trophy. 40 years since we were competing for the league.
And somehow Everton still can’t grab a single opportunity to get out of this rut. Same old shite, stuck in a pathetic cycle of mediocrity and excuses.
Today was effectively a free hit and an opportunity to attack. Instead, we offered nothing. The fact that Sunderland have finished in Europe is damning for David Moyes. £100m+ spent to finish 13th. #EFC
Europe was there for the taking. Instead of grasping the chance over the past 6 weeks, Moyes has delivered the same old risk averse football we have watched for almost 15 years. Top managers evolve…he will never change. #EFC

Fair play to Aznou…not had a sniff all season & came on the pitch and made things happen. The rest of them strolled around the pitch. Beto & Barry striding up to those pens like they’re both in double figures. A pathetic performance and the manager has no excuses. #EFC

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored 9 goals from open play in his last 90 appearances for Everton and had the worst xG of any forward in the league last season. A purple patch for Leeds doesn’t change the fact he was done at #EFC.
