996 is mostly bullshit. There’s a small % of companies where this works because the employees buy into the mission and enjoy the work. It’s good for expectation setting. And a lot of pretenders where they force this on employees and burn them out.

Build cool stuff, send to startup CEOs/CTOs that are hiring. There are two doors for getting a job. The front door and the side door. Find the side door. 1000 people are waiting outside the front door.

I made a crash course for B2B founders who need to learn sales. It covers all the basics you need to know to close your first customers. It's based on my eBook and the training I've done in here for the r/startup community and some VC backed accelerators like TechStars and Antler. The content is actionable. If you need to learn B2B sales for your startup, I genuinely think it's worth your time to watch.

People severely underestimate 1) how big markets are 2) how low brand awareness is for most products There’s a product we always recommend to clients, they have hundreds of employees, raised tens of millions, most haven’t heard of it. The pie is big enough for everyone

[request] I’m looking to shadow/help a handful of startup founders — especially those with diverse or underrepresented backgrounds — as they run their business. 🙏 If you’re using @stripe (or considering) and would be open to it, please reach out via DM or [email protected].

Cold email is tough. For prospects you haven’t been able to connect with, try a creative outreach idea.

LinkedIn is cringeworthy but it works. DM and I’ll send you a guide on how to use it as a startup founder.

If you're trying to reach a founder, after 8pm and on the weekends is better than normal business hours.

Cold calling is a numbers game. The more calls you make, the more convos you’ll have.

Some prospects can only be reached via cold calls. Small business owners especially.

Job postings can also tell you about the software they are using.
