Five years ago we brought litigation against the University of Maryland for violating Title IX when it completely ignored my client’s claim that he, a male student, was being sexually harassed by a female group on campus that was spreading lies about him. Today, after a week long jury trial, and five years of litigation, a Maryland jury found the University liable for violating federal law. These are the days you don’t forget as a lawyer.

What I'm hearing is that men are so big and scary that we need to get rid of coed dorms and parties, because young women can't be expected to turn down an offer of unwanted sex. They're going to say yes because someone asked and they want them to like them, and we must protect them from the ensuing shame by giving them no chances to be alone with boys at night, and especially not in any situation so debaucherous as a party with alcohol.
Silly girls can't mind how many drinks they have and whether they feel well enough to keep partying or it's time to get an Uber home. Men must make decisions like that for them, and since we can't rely on them to do such a thing, we need them back in their girl dorm by curfew where they're safe.
