First off, those are 3 different rounds. Only the copper coated bullet comes out of the gun. Second, when a bullets pa's through something that is so thin and there's nothing hard for it to deform/expand, it's not going to.

A round going through that thin of material, is going to act like a hole punch. Where rounds really do damage is areas with dense flesh, bone, etc... an ear has neither of those. It's the same reason if you shoot cardboard, the round punches straight through and leaves a hole.
