Her Excellency Ambassador @EtsegenetYimenu delivered an official address to over 15,000 faithful gathered at the Honor Day Celebration dedicated to @Prophet_elvis, commending his Ministry’s impact in Uganda and on the international stage. In her address, Her Excellency highlighted Ethiopia’s status as a custodian of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, the Ark of the Covenant, and ancient manuscripts. She noted that Ethiopia is mentioned 45 times in the Bible and highlighted its historical legacy of religious tolerance as a nation that welcomed the first Muslim pilgrims fleeing persecution in Mecca. At present, Ethiopia is home to over 130 million people of different faiths living in Harmony, the Ambassador said.@MFAEthiopia @UgandaMFA – at Kampala, Uganda

It’s only in Uganda where you are spending zillions on producing petroleum and a refinery, and also “murderising” a potential market for the same, concurrently.
Kampala to switch to electric taxis before end of 2026 Union Transport Alliance (UTA), an umbrella body bringing together taxi, bus and truck drivers and boda boda riders, announced the plan after a recent benchmarking visit to China, where a delegation assessed electric taxi technology and the infrastructure supporting it. Speaking on behalf of the union, Amon Mulyowa said the first electric taxis could begin operating in Uganda before the end of the year, although the total rollout will depend on establishing battery-swapping stations and other supporting infrastructure. “We are looking at by the end of the year, because before the taxis come in, we need to have the energy network in place, because we need to have the swapping stations,” he said. observer.ug/news/kampala-to-…

About Siri AI and EU: 1. Your data (gallery, messages, email, call logs, notes, files, and much more) is indexed for personal context, and that info is stored on your iPhone. 2. When you use Siri AI, the request is either handled on-device or in cloud using PCC. It’s never stored or logged on Apple’s servers. Apple does not have access to it. Now, according to Apple, here’s what EU wants: “According to EU regulators, the DMA requires Apple to give any AI system nearly unlimited access to a user’s device, as well as the ability to act on that access autonomously without a user’s ongoing visibility and control. That includes the ability to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and execute actions across any app.” What EU is asking is scary dangerous. And apparently they have rejected all the solutions proposed by Apple. And, as hinted by Joz, “We will NOT compromise on privacy and security”, Apple is likely not going to give up, so EU users are likely not going to get Siri AI anytime soon.

. @KCCAUG recognizes the urgent need to regulate the transport industry, particularly the operations of boda bodas, which have increasingly become a road safety risk. The Authority Council has already approved the Transport Bill, and it is now progressing through the necessary approval levels to be enacted as a Transport Ordinance. This ordinance will provide a clear legal framework to guide the regulation of the industry, ensuring safer roads, orderly operations, and improved public safety across the city.
Replying to @Buzeki_Sharifah
We can't live in our city peacefully when we still have boda boda! It's becoming a security risk, accident risk and safety risk. Find a way to regulate them or remove them from Kampala. Now is the time.

I am in #Uganda, where the government has mounted a prompt and capable response to the outbreak of #Ebola. Screening at the borders helped detect cases arriving from neighbouring #DRC, and the country’s surveillance, testing and case management systems are doing steady work. Of the 19 confirmed cases so far, 14 were among people who entered from DRC and five are Ugandan nationals. Sadly, two people from DRC have died, and our thoughts are with their families. @WHO is supporting Uganda, alongside @AfricaCDC and partners across the region, as the country leads this response. With continued collaboration, I am confident this outbreak can be brought under control.

Please disregard this fake social media video making rounds. #Uganda is safe. There is no lockdown. The country has the best experience in handling outbreaks. Currently, there are no local Ebola infections.
