ESN/MAP/Urea blend down the tube doing its thing vs DAP and broadcast urea. The ESN blend on the left cost $47.80/Ha. The plots have the same N & P inputs.192mm of rain for June has certainly shown up the advantages of ESN protecting the nitrogen investment. #ESN #SmartNitrogen – at Flynn, Victoria

As its been recently discussed on Twitter , I have tested Clethodim vs adjuvants. In the photo, left is Clethodim (no adjuvant), middle a research adjuvant (poor) and right Hasten. Without an adjuvant, expect virtually no activity from Clethodim and possible other DIMs.

It’s a good day at the office. Soil & Plant testing to budget N and K applications. Nutrient use efficiency and resource allocation are fundamentally important at these fertiliser prices #Gippsland

Out viewing large scale grower trials of Mateno Complete. Is going to have an excellent fit in disc’s for wheat. Was a big ask on this sizeable ryegrass EPE but with favourable conditions appears to be getting the job done 2 weeks since application. #Bayertrial – at Howlong, New South Wales

Time to stand up to the EU. Europe can send millions of dollars of pork to Australia which cripples our pork farmers, yet we can market red meat on a level playing field. NZ has got 87% of the lamb quota. Time for policitians to play tough with the EU. theland.com.au/story/5780449…
