I want to talk about this respectfully. From Gaza we can see how certain fundraising efforts have greater priority. Since the beginning this is a repeating trend.
When we try to have meaningful conversations about these instances we are attacked and called ungrateful. That we should be thankful for everyone who raises their voices for us and they too deserve support.
Why is it our cancer patients, children with disfigurement and injuries, students, widows, are not given the same priority and urgency? They are the story and the heart of Palestine.
I wish something postive would come from these occurrences. There is a disconnect. I wish people could see us and treat us with humanity. Ignoring our pleas has become normalized.
