Here is Pauline Hanson’s “dirt file”. Add corruption and a prison stint to it. What a lovely upstanding member of society. 😀 #auspol @abcnews @News24Aust @newscomauHQ @9NewsAUS

Hey @grok, concise no spin. What nationality would Jesus be if he was born today in 2026? Nationality only.

The Western world and its bourgeois governments value profits, property, and war more than people, which is why people are rising up en masse to fight for the birth of a better world.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” ― Carl Sagan

The modern political right is completely devoid of ethical principles. “If it isn’t happening to me, it’s not a problem” is the constant refrain of weak men.
RFK Jr on Ghislaine Maxwell: "She was always wonderful to me. And, you know, kind." *Maxwell is serving a 20 year prison sentence for conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors. (2024)

Donald Trump aligned himself with evangelicals because he knew they’d overlook pedophilia, adultery, racism, cruelty, and corruption.

Apparently the right winger theme for today on Twitter was defending the ultra wealthy. Nothing offends dumb & poor people more than someone criticising or making demands of the billionaires in control of their lives. Even the billionaires don’t defend themselves with as much ferocity as bigoted right wingers will on their behalf.

The West Australian newspaper will shamelessly use this terrible incident to stoke up political conflict that simply plays to the owners financial interests. That I can guarantee.
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has revealed she recently received more extensive personal protection, as she reflects on her own history of threats and the shocking attack on Helen Haines. news24.com.au/politics/austr…

Zali Steggall calls out the toxic behaviour by politicians & media following the attack on Dr Helen Haines—from Pauline Hanson’s “revolting” cartoon targeting Lambie’s medical condition to the “appalling” radio shock jocks fueling their “aggression & anger” to listeners. 💯

This is undoubted true but it’s pointless even calling for this when the media regulates itself. We need to demand legislation to break up media monopolies, diversify ownership, impose more basic regulatory standards of truth and impartiality, and consequences that safeguard.
Toning down the political discourse needs to start with the media and it needs to stop now. They are responsible for the messaging.

After this shocking @helenhainesindi (alleged) attack, some commentators are saying this is the time for Albanese to step up. That it is his John Howard Port Arthur moment & he now has to lead the nation. Given he is the man who cannot speak the words “Islamic Extremism” & who I believe is responsible for the growing intolerance & hatred & rise of anti-Semitism, I think that is virtually impossible. We cannot forgive or forget what he has created in this country. He is no leader. Never was. Never will be.

Washington has discovered a brilliant financial strategy. Cut benefits for people who need them, cut taxes for people who don't, and borrow the difference from people who aren't old enough to vote.

@grok Based on the total number of incidents, is extremist political violence more commonly associated with the far right or far left in Australia?

If I were Putin I’d start blowing up my own oil fields and claiming Ukraine did it. Small price to pay for suckering the US into supporting Russia over Ukraine. Trump is so easy to manipulate.

The descent from grace of this guy has been so disappointing to witness. Travelling the world trying to claim victimhood. The true victims are all the people tragically murdered, orphaned and de-limbed.
rabbishmuley.substack.com/p/… Macron lectures Israel while France burns A president so confident about another democracy’s responsibilities should bring the same urgency to protecting his own citizens. By Rabbi Shmuley Boteach I love Paris. I love visiting it. I love the grandeur of its boulevards, the elegance of its architecture, and the extraordinary feeling that history and beauty accompany you around almost every corner. Few cities have contributed more to humanity’s understanding of civilization. That is why watching its streets descend into scenes of smashed windows, burning barricades, and looted businesses is heartbreaking. When you love a city, you cannot shrug at its degradation. You feel anger at the people destroying it and at the leaders whose responsibility is to protect it. Emmanuel Macron has spent years telling Israel what responsible leadership requires. At the United Nations and before the world’s cameras, France’s president has delivered prescriptions, condemnations, and diplomatic initiatives with remarkable confidence. After the latest violence across France, a question demands an answer: Where is that confidence when his own country needs governing? On October 17, demonstrations over living costs and deteriorating public services brought hundreds of thousands into French streets. They did not protest peacefully. Violent groups exploited the mobilization to attack buildings, loot businesses, and confront police. In Limoges, the historic city hall burned. In Marseille, intruders broke into city hall and defaced it. In Lyon, the tourist office was set ablaze. This was a crisis stretching far beyond the capital. By Sunday, the Interior Ministry reported nearly 2,400 arrests and almost 1,000 injured police officers and gendarmes. Further clashes and looting followed in Paris. Behind those figures were frightened residents, injured people, exhausted officers, and business owners confronting wrecked livelihoods. A country cannot become accustomed to this. The world has heard Macron’s lectures. France may not survive to see the end of his speech.

Statistically speaking, if the attack on @helenhainesindi was politically motivated, the far right is most likely to be responsible. #auspol
