Super educated, empowered, independent Akansha Lal, native of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, who had worked as a flight attendant about 10 years ago and was pursuing online psychology classes, abandoned her child born outside of marriage near Chief Ministers residence in Chennai. Locals heard cries of the baby and alerted police.
Police said she declined to take custody of the infant. Instead of arresting her for this crime, she has now been referred for mental health counselling.
Grown up women are now being given a pass no matter how much cruelty with even children !!!

Yeah, their corrupt govt did this by creating protests against Adani on behalf of the Chinese.
Many Kenyans instigated by social media misinformation did it too. So China's companies could get the projects in Kenya.
And some Indians were cheering this saying "Adani was chucked out of Kenya, it's a bad company."
What to say of these Indians? That's more concerning to me.
We can only can ask them, next time no matter what politics you follow, please don't pull down Indian companies in their bids in foreign countries, at least.
It affects all Indians and even that foreign country.

The issue of the NEET-PG qualifying cut-off dropping so low that minus 40 marks qualified reached the Supreme Court.
The Court sought the Centre's opinion.
The Centre set up a 12-member expert committee, which proposed replacing marks-based merit with a rank-based system. The National Medical Commission approved it, and the proposal is now before the Court.
This is a clever fix! The headline "Rank 2,00,000 secured MS Orthopedics in NEET-PG" sounds far less alarming to the public than "Candidate with minus 40 marks secured MS Orthopedics."
Problem solved, outrage avoided, and public trust in the medical system restored.

Agnipath scheme as sold by the Govt in 2022 is effectively dead. Only its name and one of its worst features survive.
Every objective the govt and its blind supporters trumpeted is trashed.
‘Younger army?’ Nope. Agniveers kept will now serve 6 years plus 15 more before retiring. That's longer career than the one in old system. Army gets older, not younger.
‘The best 25% will be retained’. Nope. Now, everyone stays.
‘Disciplined, trained youth returning to society." This was BS without substantial intake anyway.
‘Pension savings’. They sold you a lie. Pension saving was decades away, not significant and now almost negligible.
But there are still two classes of soldiers - temporary and permanent ones - who get different terms of service for same risks/job. The scheme's original objectives are gone but core downside remains. I guess the only reason not to scrap it totally is ego - there is no other justification.
Anyway this is good progress. Next step should be treating Agniveer and regular soldiers equally if they are injured/KIA. This is most critical.
