Why Jews for Palestine Ireland strongly oppose the incoming Irish government’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, in two threads:
Join the Palestine Bloc outside Hugh Lane Gallery where we will be providing flags and banners at 12:50pm tomorrow as part of the Irish Coaliton Against Trump protest against his visit. The government may bend the knee but the ordinary people of Ireland be servile!
#FreePalestine
Protest tomorrow!
Free the Ulm 5!
We are once again asking Ireland to show up for the Ulm 5, imprisoned for a year now for non-violent action targeting Elbit weapons systems used in the Gaza genocide.
For these reasons, we are asking for everyone who can to make a big showing tomorrow to demonstrate that this draconian crackdown on Palestine activism in both Germany and the rest of Europe will not be tolerated.
Our statement from today's occupation of the Justice Department for Gazan students denied study visas:
Jim O’Callaghan, reverse your decision!
Grant their visas! Let them study!
Today Jews for Palestine Ireland staged an occupation of the Justice Department to demand a reversal of the decision to refuse visas to at least 100 known students from Gaza, nearly 30 of whom had been offered fully funded scholarships.
Our statement in full, which was read out inside the Justice Department and upon release from Garda custody
Our statement as read out during today's occupation of the Department of Justice:

Over 100 British and French diplomats have signed a joint letter to the leaders of the UK and France urging them to take real, tangible action against Israel including suspending arms transfers and the EU-Israel association agreement
The letter is purportedly attempting to save a hypothetical two state solution but as Israeli minister statements show, they are already treating the whole of Palestine as a de-facto single state.
Eventually the rest of the world will need to catch up with reality on the ground.
