Imagine winning the Nobel Peace Prize and having Hamas celebrate it.
Some jokes really do write themselves.
Three years later, these names are still hard to read. Not because the letters are small, but because we know what they mean.
Someone who was supposed to come home. Someone who had plans for tomorrow. Someone who should be celebrating another birthday.
A name that brings back a voice, a laugh, a lifetime of memories.
Someone’s dad. Someone’s child. Someone’s friend.
We remember every single one of them. Today and every day.
Center for Jewish Impact Chairman Robert Singer met with UNESCO @UNESCO_DG Khaled El-Enany, the first Director-General from an Arab country, to discuss key issues concerning Israel and Jewish communities around the world, including Holocaust education and the fight against antisemitism.
The meeting continued a conversation that has spanned three @UNESCO Directors-General and three different chapters of Singer’s career as CEO of World ORT, CEO of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), and now as Chairman of the Center for Jewish Impact.
In 2017, while serving as CEO of WJC, Singer signed an agreement with then UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova to develop a global Holocaust education initiative for young people. The cooperation continued under @AAzoulay , with UNESCO expanding educational resources and programs in this field.
In his recent meeting with El-Enany, Singer received his assurance that this work will remain high on UNESCO’s agenda. The conversation focused on preserving what has already been built while taking it further, particularly by bringing existing curricula and educational resources to new countries and languages.
Education remains one of the most important tools in confronting antisemitism and preserving Holocaust memory. UNESCO’s global reach gives it a unique role in that effort. The work built over the years must be protected, but preserving it is not enough. The next step is to expand its reach, bringing these resources into more countries, classrooms and education systems around the world.
Francesca Albanese, who needed 8 minutes to give a simple “no” when asked if she was antisemitic, is now explaining Holocaust history.
What could possibly go wrong?

Landing in Amsterdam from Israel?
Your luggage may be inspected to make sure your souvenirs don’t come from the “wrong” side of the map.
But supporting terrorist organizations in broad daylight? No worries. All good.
What does an ambassador do when she’s off duty?
For Canada’s Ambassador to Israel, Leslie Scanlon, it means getting on a bike, exploring the country and discovering Israel through its trails and landscapes.

Always a pleasure to have you with us, Ambassador @MichaelMannEU. Quite a first year in Israel, and we’re glad we got to share some of it with you. Here’s to better days ahead for all of us. 🇪🇺 🇮🇱
I enjoyed speaking to @usegal at the Center for @JewishImpact's annual Rosh Hashanah toast in Tel Aviv, where I shared some impressions from my first year as EU Ambassador to Israel. May the New Year 5787 bring good tidings to Europeans, Israelis and all people of the region!
A pleasure to meet with Taly Mair, Director of the European Council of Jewish Communities, @ECJCommunities, here in Athens.
Taly has been a close friend and partner for many years, and it was especially meaningful to share with her the work we are leading through the Center for Jewish Impact, SASA Setton, Alumot Or and Anières Mechina.
A timely conversation about Israeli civil society, Jewish communities across Europe and the Diaspora, and the many opportunities to strengthen the connections between them.
Dolly Parton wasn’t Jewish. Yet within hours of her death, her Wikipedia page was vandalized with a swastika and the words “Jew lover,” while others somehow turned her death into something about Israel.
That’s antisemitism: finding a way to drag Jews or Israel into everything, even when they have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Using someone’s death to feed that obsession is just ugly.
Rest in peace, Dolly.
What does it mean to represent the EU in Israel as antisemitism surges across Europe?
In Episode 2 of The Ambassadors’ Room, H.E. @MichaelMannEU , EU Ambassador to Israel, reflects on this duality and how living in Israel has shaped his perspective.

Center for Jewish Impact Chairman Robert Singer welcomed H.E. @BekaDvali1, Georgia’s new Ambassador to Israel. Building on more than 2,600 years of friendship between the Jewish and Georgian peoples, we look forward to working together to further strengthen the relationship between our two countries. 🇬🇪🇮🇱
One of the most meaningful parts of our work is creating opportunities for the diplomatic community to engage with Israeli society firsthand. Visits like this, made possible together with Alumot Or, offer an opportunity to see how innovative educational models are giving at-risk youth the support, skills, and confidence to build their future.
Joined @ZivMagor & @JewishImpact for a visit to Rotman Na'amat High School in Holon, where I saw first-hand how dedicated educators help at-risk youth build confidence, independence & practical skills. Every young person deserves a place that supports them and helps them thrive.
The relationship between Colombia and Israel has always been bigger than the politics of any one government.
After a tenure of tension, we welcome President-elect @ABDELAESPRIELLA ‘s commitment to restore diplomatic ties, move Colombia's embassy to Jerusalem, and withdraw the country's support from the ICJ case against Israel.
We hope this marks the beginning of a new chapter rooted in cooperation and the understanding that strong leadership brings people together rather than driving them apart. 🇮🇱 🤝 🇨🇴
Germany is taking an important stand by moving to criminalize calls for Israel's destruction.
It reflects a lesson history taught us at an unbearable cost: antisemitism does not begin with violence. It begins when ideas that target Jews become acceptable.
Calling for the elimination of the world’s only Jewish state is not another political opinion.
It is antisemitism. And law should treat it as such.
More than five centuries after Jews were expelled from Spain, we are once again seeing messages declaring them unwelcome, this time under the word “Zionists.”
Seeing this antisemitism spread through the streets, carried by ordinary people, should concern everyone.

Last night I had the honour to host, together with @JewishImpact, an uplifting panel about sports as a platform for dialogue, tolerance and social impact. Thanks to Shino Zoaretz and Yariv Teper from @ISRAELFA, @YoavBorowitz and @mirinevo for joining us. Sports unites us all! ⚽️
This weekend, more than 50,000 people filled the streets of New York for the Israel Day Parade.
No riots. No vandalism. No calls for violence. No terrorist flags.
Just people celebrating their identity, their heritage, and their connection to Israel.
At a time when anti-Israel demonstrations too often translate into intimidation, glorification of terror, and antisemitic rhetoric, the contrast could not be clearer.
We will not apologize for our pride. We will not hide our connection to Israel.
And we certainly will not surrender the streets to those who spread hate in its name.
The most disturbing part about the fire at the Golders Green kosher supermarket in London is that an antisemitic attack felt more realistic than an accident.
That’s what being Jewish feels like in 2026.
Center for Jewish Impact Chairman Robert Singer met with Costa Rica’s Ambassador to Israel, Antonio López Escarré, to discuss the strong friendship between Israel and Central America and the importance of these longstanding alliances.
During the meeting, the Ambassador described Israel as an almost “utopian planet,” reflecting on the energy and unique character of Israeli society.
Many opportunities for collaboration are ahead. 🇮🇱🤝🇨🇷
