The Jets just aren’t ready to take that next step yet. It was confirmed yday. They aren’t good enough in key areas that separate the good and bad teams. It’s details during two minute and short yardage that they can’t figure out. Penalties and silly miscommunications loom large.

One matchup that concerns me heading into Sunday is Jets rookie David Bailey against Morgan Moses.
Bailey has generated 26 pressures this season, the fifth-most in the NFL and the most among rookies. He lines up on the left edge 83.3% of the time.
Meanwhile, Moses has allowed pressure on 13.9% of his pass blocks, the third-highest rate among qualifying right tackles.
Drake Maye has been excellent against pressure, but the Patriots can't afford to let Bailey consistently disrupt the pocket.

Emotional moment at a Pennsylvania high school yesterday after a student crowned Homecoming King surprised everyone by passing the honor to the runner-up.
Not sure what team will end up picking first, but I’d have an incredibly difficult time not going Jeremiah Smith 1.1 regardless of what QBs are in this class.
Absolute unicorn.

GW was in the luxury suite next to the one I was in last year towards the end of the season when he was injured. He spoke and interacted with everyone and spent an hour taking pictures and chatting with the fans that wanted to interact. Pure and utter class.

A win on Sunday is so meaningful to this franchise on so many levels. It goes a long way in what they can be this season, it instantly flips the outside narrative of the team from a respect perspective, and most importantly, it’s the one Aaron Glenn is going to need to keep this gig long term. Eventually they have to win “one of these”.
There’s a good vibe around the Jets, and now they have an opportunity to build on a W and make a statement in the AFC East.
Wilson: “Big-ass game.”
Brownlee: “It means the world.” #Jets espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5018…

On David Bailey wearing a polo under his jersey:
Apparently Harrison Phillips started this with the DL on Fridays (they all wear polos under their jersey on Fridays now) to represent that it’s a “work day”.

Morgan Moses is allowing the 3rd highest pressure rate of all Right tackles through 5 games and is on an injured foot. Bailey who generally rushes off that right side is coming off a 3 sack game… a very crucial matchup to watch Sunday for the Jets
Right!? It’s perfectly fine to say that both are excellent prospects that have shown immense talent in a brief period. I know they’ll always be compared as long as they play here, but it’s also fine to say both are great players.

David Bailey is the only rookie in NFL history with 25+ tackles and 5+ sacks through 5 team games
Monken does a walkthrough after a loss and nobody will blink an eye. AG did it last week off a loss and there were hour long podcast episodes about it.
