Let’s get down to brass tacks and talk about what their own scholars actually teach, 'cause it sure ain't the nonsense these folks are peddlin'. Right there in their own holy texts—the Hadith—the Prophet specifically outlawed prayin' in the middle of the road. It’s plain as day. You don't set up camp where folks are travelin' and block the way. On top of that, their core rule is 'do no harm.' Droppin' a prayer rug on a damn active highway ain't just a death wish, it’s a massive, selfish hazard for every innocent driver just tryin' to get home.
And let’s call this exactly what it is. Their own theologians have a word for it: 'Riya'—the sin of showin' off. True faith is supposed to be quiet and humble. When somebody deliberately picks the busiest, most dangerous spot to put on a public spectacle, they ain't doin' it for the Almighty. They’re doin' it for the cameras. The folks pullin' these stunts ain't your everyday, God-fearin' worshippers. They’re political activists and rabble-rousers usin' religion as a cheap shield to mark their territory, disrupt the peace, and dare you to say somethin' about it. It’s pure arrogance dressed up as piety, and I ain't buyin' a single second of it.

Let’s get one thing crystal clear right out the gate so y'all don't get the wrong idea: I ain't a Muslim, and I sure ain't a religious man. But I do know how to read the rulebook. Even accordin' to their own strict Islamic laws, you can't just toss a prayer rug in the middle of a damn highway. The Quran plainly states, 'Do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction' (Surah 2:195), and their teachin's strictly forbid prayin' in the middle of the road. You pull a stunt like that in Saudi Arabia or Dubai, the highway patrol will slap you in cuffs for endangerin' the public. You can't throw common sense to the wind, break your own religion's rules, and then blame some poor driver who couldn't slam on the brakes in time. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

No, we are not boiling the ocean. The current El Niño is almost exactly the same as the one in 1997 — probably a little less severe. In 1997, we topped out about +2.5 C in region Niño3.4. Looks like this one will be about +2.3 C. This chart is from NOAA 10 Aug 26.
