Brendan Haywood reveals that the Wizards got smoked by the Heat in the playoffs all because Gilbert Arenas talked trash about Dwyane Wade's jumper
Isn't it funny?
We can make a lot of money,
Buy a lot of things
just to feel a lot of ugly
I was yea high and muddy
Looking for what was looking for me
Yeah, okay you gotta jump in to swim
Well, the light was dim
in this life of sin
Now every day I wake up and breathe
I don't have it all
but that's alright with me

Muammar Gaddafi with one of his lady bodyguards. Cairo, 1994.
Gaddafi walking alongside one of his famous female bodyguards, members of the elite all-women security unit often called the “Revolutionary Nuns.”
Gaddafi began surrounding himself with female bodyguards in the 1980s. Officially, the idea was rooted in his political ideology: he claimed women should play equal roles in Libyan society, including the military. He also argued that male assassins might hesitate to attack a leader protected by women, making them a strategic layer of defense.
But beyond security, the unit carried heavy symbolism.
The women were carefully selected, trained in weapons, martial discipline, and loyalty to the regime. They often appeared in military uniforms, sunglasses, and ceremonial dress, becoming part of Gaddafi’s global image. Wherever he traveled from Africa to Europe to the Middle East their presence turned into a spectacle that reinforced his reputation as one of the world’s most unconventional and theatrical leaders.
Supporters saw this as proof that Libya under Gaddafi promoted women’s visibility in public life. Critics, however, argued the guards were more propaganda than progress a visual symbol crafted to strengthen his personal cult of power rather than genuine gender equality.
By the time of this 1994 visit to Egypt, Gaddafi had already ruled Libya for over two decades, surviving coups, sanctions, and international isolation. His rule would continue until 2011, when Libya’s uprising and NATO intervention brought his 42-year leadership to an end.

Wilt. Bam. Kobe.
The most disgraceful performance in NBA history. Just for context:
- Bam's a career 16 PPG scorer.
- Washington Wizards were 16-47, 14th in the East.
- Bam shot an NBA-record 43 free throws.
- Miami led by 28 in the fourth and STILL intentionally fouled up 27 with under two minutes left to get Bam more points.
Still disappointed in Spo for letting this bullshit happen. Passing 81 doesn't put this performance in the same conversation as Kobe's.
Kobe dropped 55 after halftime to bring the Lakers back from down 18.

None of these shoes are dead. 1’s aren’t dead. Collabs aren’t dead. Retros aren’t dead. People are broke in this broken economy. They’re choosing groceries, what groceries they can afford, while paying outrageous prices for gas. None of these shoes are dead. Our economy is.
