In celebration of WWII VE Day, the New York Historical Museum is displaying one of the most famous American wartime garments—Claire McCardell’s “Pop-over.” The original dress is from my collection and I researched and reconstructed the mitt she’s holding. I’m thrilled!

Fun fact about fave movie Desk Set—Hepburn’s shiny dress was released as a mail order sewing pattern in the 50s. Designed by Hollywood costumer Charles LeMaire.
Just sitting here, flopped down in my comfy chair, watching #DeskSet . I love this movie🩷. #TCMParty

There’s been a lot of chatter in recent years about how no one can find the comedy “French Kiss” to stream. It’s a very funny 90’s film with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline.

Hats off to all fellow reluctant holiday matriarchs. I just now got my tree up and have a few last pressies to wrap before I ignore whatever else didn’t get done.

Doing some modeling of this fab new coat sewing pattern from @cashmerette . (It’s not one of the recent patterns I’ve released with them FYI.) They’ve pioneered creating chic patterns that work for different body types and ages—so I’m here representing the GILFs of the world.
