🔥 Our first offline Meetup🔥 THINK SEARCH: SEO in the AI Era. Fix the date - 17th of November, Brussels. JetOctopus.com and @OMCollective are the co-hosters for this SEO event. We all see how chaotic SEO trends are today, how AI impacts and leads someone to frustration, someone - to traffic drops, someone - to limitless talks about "this is the end". Yet some brands are still breaking through the algorithm. They remain visible in AI-generated answers. They adapt to the new search reality. You know I with Serge Bezborodov hate empty talks and prefer working with data. That's why you'd better not to miss our first offline meetup this autumn. This will definitely be unforgettable and all about AI - practical tips (as always). I add our first intro Video Ad for you to plan your time accordingly. In the first comment you can watch the agenda and all the details of the Meetup. See you in Brussels, November 17th.

🤖 Are you tracking the *actual* AI bots crawling behavior on your site? Especially if you *over-rely* on CSR JS or do any sort of dynamic publishing: It's a must. Having the ability to access, monitor and assess your website AI bots activity via log files hasn't been easier thanks to CDNs own reports (eg. Cloudflare), as well as integration with technical SEO tools (eg. @JetOctopus ) or enterprise AI search platforms (eg. @profound ). Also, a little tip to technical SEO tools: It's time to facilitate log file integration, and for crawling simulations: provide pre-set configurations that accurately replicate AI bots current behavior for those who can't access log files.

@Kevin_Indig is brilliant @techseoconnect Again and again about Why the majority of SEO tasks are not implemented and HOW to change it. EMPATHY - I would call the main idea - try to feel the manager who is under depression from making all these decisions all the time and: 🔥 start with the Goal, not specific optimisations 🔥 care their pressure, give the full cycle: grab attention->what efforts needed ->time needed ->who is responsible 🔥 no need for many tech details 🔥 don't make big claims. When you succeed it increases TRUST to you ☝️And! Don't send spreadsheets to developers, be a team and assist them to get all you've already agreed with a manager to be finally implemented!

😱 Google recently released a major update to its Knowledge Graph focused on improving experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) signals, especially for people entities. This has significant implications for personal brand and entity-based SEO. According Jason Barnard's detailed analysis, here are the key things to know: 👉 The July 2023 Knowledge Graph update radically increased the number of person entities while corporate entities remained stable. 👉 Google clearly focused on refining classification for people by subtitles. Authoritative roles like "Writer" or "Author" saw large increases of up to 33%. 👉 Generic subtitles dropped dramatically, signaling Google's intent to pinpoint specialist expertise. 👉 Only 16% of people entities now have a subtitle, down from 57% before. This suggests tightened classifiers. 👉 Reliance on Wikipedia collapsed from 41% to 12% for triggering new people entities. Traditional databases like IMDB also dropped. 👉 Google is focused on its algorithms building semantic connections, reducing dependence on human-curated sources. 👉 Corporations are likely next, with a similar decrease in reliance on Wikipedia imminent. Brands overly dependent on Wikipedia for Knowledge Panels should reevaluate. 👉 This presents a massive opportunity for individuals and brands who build authoritative, trustworthy profiles on diverse quality sites. Google is distancing itself from spammy tactic-built Knowledge Graphs. E-E-A-T focused content and optimization is now more critical than ever. For full details, I highly recommend reading Jason's data-driven analysis: searchengineland.com/google-… Don't miss my interview with Jason Barnard (@jasonmbarnard) where he explains it even further: youtu.be/nEe2SMzCFfo?si=UOJb…

🚀 I'm excited to share my recent interview with one of the best known SEO experts: Cyrus Shepard @CyrusShepard! Cyrus has a wealth of knowledge from his many years working at @Moz and now as an independent consultant at @ZyppySEO. In our conversation, Cyrus shares insightful tips on SEO experiments, title tags, internal linking, and even his experience becoming a Google Quality Rater. Some highlights: ✅ Simple SEO experiments you can do, like rewriting title tags and tracking changes in Search Console. No need for complex scientific methodology when starting out. ✅ Why varying your internal anchor text is so important, rather than reusing the same keywords. The number of different anchor texts correlates highly with better rankings. ✅ Cyrus' unique perspective on ranking factors now versus a few years ago. He explains the 5 buckets he sees as most important today. ✅ What "real company sh*t" means - doing the actual hard work and being the best answer rather than trying to manipulate results. ✅ His surprising experience applying to become a Google Quality Rater, including what he learned about how raters evaluate needs met and page quality. I learned so much from Cyrus and think you will too. Watch the full interview here to get his brilliant insights straight from the source: youtube.com/watch?v=hZ0CIv80… Let me know what you find most interesting! I'm always looking for new SEO experts to feature on my show. 💪That's what I think is a concrete "measured value" from SEO tools. Especially when we talk about big websites with big data where Crawl Budget is always a TOP priority! It is about millions of impressions and clicks monthly not hypothetical growth of something. Thread👇

The site in the Jetoctopus screenshot below is not rendering JS properly. It’s 16x heavier after rendering (17KB vs 273KB). Title, description, canonical tag, H1 and H2 weren’t visible before rendering!

I’m not surprised that our article about JS SEO has reached so many shares and got 2nd place in Sept by shares at @sejournal If you haven’t read it yet, do it. Get the list of JS checking and find if your JS doesn’t harm your SEO. Usually it always does! searchenginejournal.com/basi…
