Good goal sense and a left footer, a great rounding to Retschko's right foot on the other wing. Power runners who will go hard. Perhaps not flashy, but can cover ground. Not many consistant and good flashy wingers, Dempsey the exception. Pick 61... 🤝
"Nathan O'Driscoll would be a top 12 player at Port Adelaide. What are these other teams doing? Richmond just got him for nothing. He is a good footballer, has a real crack. Could be the trade of the Trade Period." - Kane on Nathan O'Driscoll

Imagine making this your hill. Never mind the AFL changing trade and draft rules retrospectively. Preach for the guy the punched someone 100 metres off the ball.

This is perfect for us. Shorty compliments good teams and we aren't that right now. Banks will step straight in, and offers more IMO. 2nd rounder, ideally 20's.
Dual premiership Tiger Jayden Short will explore a trade away from Richmond. Collingwood, among other clubs, circling. His agent Anthony McConville told @AFLcomau: "He's been away and come back now and after meeting with him today, he will be looking at his options for 2027."

Only a concussion could explain this. Oh...
The incident that has Lachie Neale missing the Grand Final 👇

Credit to the ump. Huge call and 100% correct. Also, smart by Hugh. #AFLFinals

Farewell to my all time favourite non Tiger. If I could choose a team mate, I would choose him. Go well, Libba.

Yep. Something like compo pick is only available if player is going to bottom 10 team. Or. Compo pick can be used with a trade if player goes to bottom 10 team. Eg. Port gets pick 5 compo and tigers throw in a future first.
This is why free agency is absolutely cooked. If he decided to go to a poor team like Richmond they’d have to cough up pick 2 and god knows what else, but because decent sides like Bulldogs and Geelong have nothing to trade they get him for free. Absolutely broken 😂

The NFL has 32 teams and 14 teams make finals. Each regular season game carries significant weight and thus is compelling. The NBA has 30 teams, 20 teams are eligible for finals (including play in tournament). The NBA is losing significant interest d.t the reg season being too long and less meaningful. There's a lesson in that. If big crowds and excitement is the KPI, then why stop at 10th for our Wildcard round? Why not extend it to 11th-14th? Those additional wildcard games will also produce excitement, big crowds and a TV audience? Knockout sport is exciting. The right to participate in the finals should be earned via the 23 preceding H&A games. Not via a single sugar hit game which we justify as being a good idea because a big crowd attended. What was the benefit for the Dees for finishing 7th instead of 10th? The game was played at the MCG, both teams home field. Why push for those extra wins if you're going to end up in the wild card race instead of 6th? The AFL's modus operandi is to introduce a change for something that is not broken only to create a different set of problems that they didn't envisage. Will we see teams clearly trapped in the wild card bracket a few rounds out start to rest players etc? With injuries being the way they were this yr, and perhaps minimal benefit from finishing higher up the ladder, it wouldn't shock me. The Finals should consist of the top 8 and begin immediately following the H&A season. That first round is knockout football. It will be equally as exciting, and consist of the teams that have earnt the right to be there.

Plenty of young commentators would call this game better than Mark Rucciuto and at probably 1/8th of the cost. He doesn’t know the names or rules. It's like he is talking at the pub with his mates, and I would feel sorry for them. #AFLCrowsTigers

Port Adelaide was fined $100,000 for breaking concussion protocols during a game. Geelong put it in writing with the blessing of the AFL, and systematically avoided concussion protocols, and have been cleared by the AFL. This league is (at the very least) corrupt.

4. Selwood 10% int on a loan to a club sponsor known to be a criminal, the excess interest never declared in the sal cap, no penalty. 5. waiver from a player over concussion which would mean they would not have to consider the player’s welfare in any decision made about him relating to concussion. Punishment: 17 clubs get a memo not to do this and Cats get to delete the clause

For all the things the @GeelongCats FC do well, getting their own board members and managers into the AFL to investigate their corruption is the GOAT move of all moves.

With Ryan Mansell out with a foot injury we now have 5 players on the injury list with foot complaints. There are 7 players out with foot injuries in the rest of the AFL combined.

Umpire should be fined for carelessly moving into what was clearly a fight... But seriously, if he gets weeks, Touke does too.
