They're stealing the plot for this one from Cyberpunk. The people who write world history are hacks.
Is the internet apocalypse upon us? Perhaps. What better way to finally control the internet and all information than have the old net overran by hackers and "rogue AI"? Then they can create a new one with forced digital ID and software on the cloud only.
Will Trump blame riggers for the midterms? Speaking of which, have you ever considered they only wanted you to think there was riggers (more so than usual anyways)? Lets not pretend the Republic didn't stop being for the people a long time ago.
In the future instead of using a god/devil as a scapegoat we'll use AI. SI forbid anyone take responsibility for their own actions.
Liberal "artists" are effectively mercenaries for the elites that destroy culture for money. They don't even care about the companies that hire them because it seems they'd rather burn a project down than have the right enjoy it.
We get two moe characters back to back. As of our last discussion we have planned 25 total playable characters in Memeyori with around 8 avaible in any one playthrough. That's a lot, but hey at least it's not Chrono Cross.
Momo
Race: Memekin
Birthday: 14 February, 2008
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 110 lbs
As a VJ, Momo doesn't direct the chaos of the Spark Gap so much as channel it, pulling visuals from the screams of the crowd. You'll find her against the wall, not in the booth, headset dangling uselessly. Because Momo's real work is connection. When the heat of the room becomes a physical force, she grips someone's wrist and the energy becomes a gift. Their thoughts quicken, their pulse is a bassline, and they become the spectacle, pure potential unleashed while Momo just smiles and lets the afterglow spill out from her eyes, the amber one dimming as the cyan one flares, a feedback loop of someone else's peak.
She calls it "sharing the spirit," but the spirit is always borrowed. The touch is intimate, the transfer transactional. They crash later; she moves on. Always being the conduit and never the source, a glorified antenna that sings with another's frequency, terrified that when the power fades, so might she. Her memekin self is pure abstraction, a signal pattern that believes it's a soul, but somewhere deep down, Momo (or whatever name was hers before the hyperlinks) knows she's a hollow echo searching for the perfect broadcast, loud enough to finally hear her own voice.
Her hobbies include hunting down rare, obsolete media formats and cataloging their decay, wandering through abandoned broadcast stations at night, consuming "empathy candy", synthetic moods sold like party drugs, because she's trying to find a feeling that feels like her own and not a remnant of someone else's.
Her biggest regret, the shadow she carries, is that she pushed her childhood friend and former creative partner, Leo, into the limelight during a high-stakes underground broadcast, tapping into his raw, manic genius until he burned out completely. He's a quiet recluse now, emotionally hollowed out, and she avoids him, terrified that seeing his emptiness would be like looking in a mirror at her own inevitable future. She tells herself it was a necessary step for their art, but the lie wears thinner every time she links with someone new.
At this point I'd say Memeyori covers as many philosophical positions as it needs to. Accelerationism, theocratic fascism, liberal capitalism, nature worship, Eastern esotericism, and the good old question everything instead of providing answers.
The Order of the Silver Mirror we created through a fusion of various Eastern philosophies. They believe in purification through self reflection. By doing so lies can be shattered and tainted kami can be brought back into harmonious form.
The Verdant Wyrd is a philosophy we invented based on bringing tech into alignment with nature. Norse myth provides the aesthetic for a system that views things through the lens of growth, Ragnarok, and renewal. The universe is the infinite trying to understand itself.
How each faction in Memeyori falls on the philosophical compass. Jester Gang: Agnostic Chaos, Temple of S: Materialistic Chaos, Heavenly Sun and Order of the Silver Mirror: Spiritual Order, Verdant Wyrd: Spiritual Chaos, and Vortex Neural: Materialistic Order.

Updated design for Sister Marisol “Mari” Pequena, a child prodigy taken in by the Church of the Heavenly Sun. Her mech El Santo Bebe is one of her many personal engineering projects. She is convinced the true language of God is a universal, primordial programing language.

Updated design for Evelyn Cross, CEO of Vortex Neural. Her goal is to optimize the world until all suffering and strife is gone. Freedom, race, gender, culture, and religion are all considered obstacles to that. Those who don't trust the algorithm have a habit of disappearing.
I find the theory that God existed but he deleted himself amusing. How is him playing dead in practice different from him not existing? What did God see that made him want to off himself? Actually, I've seen enough online to already know the answer.
Where do you fall on the philosophical compass? The only questions that remain are is consciousness divine or simply the result of thermodynamic pressure, and what does one do in response to that? If we could answer both of those philosophy would be solved.
They want to tax robot now? Seems to be the governments default response to everything. "Can we tax this?"
Another banger by Skatha. I believe this is also the first time our current vision for Memeyori has been demonstrated as well as some new designs. One of us will eventually get around to updating the site to match.
The new music video "The Red Pill Chase" is finally done.
