Her relationship to Constantin is one of profound respect and gratitude. She feels she can never repay him for taking her in when she had nothing. Even when he chases after Blaze in the deluded hope that he can restore his family name, she sticks by his side and tries to steer him back onto the right path. He'll come around eventually, and when he does, he'll recognize the one who truly loved him all along.

Also Archie Sonic literally said he doesn't know why he's showing Eggman mercy. Importantly, the comic never directly answers whether he was wrong or right in the moment to spare Eggman's life. It had nothing to do with thinking he deserved mercy or freedom, he literally just felt bad about driving someone to insanity.
IDW Sonic literally just does not give a fuck.
No he didn't. Archie Sonic litterally locked Egggman away because he was a threat without resolving to extreme methods. That's the most humane thing to do. While IDW Sonic doesn't even wanna lock up Eggman. For him, everyone deserves freedom, even if said freedom comes at the cost of others, here being Surge. Those are two completely different situations
