My lab and other @UBEngEd graduate students went on our annual skating outing at the Ice at Canalside this weekend. The adventures skaters learned how to skate backwards or how to spin while others were on the ice for the second time in their life. @UBengineering
My fun job and normal job intersected today when I got to teach the new @UBengineering students how to skate @UBEngEd
This past weekend I had a mini reunion with my grad school besties and while exploring Bannerman Castle in the middle of the Hudson River we found someone’s capstone design project! Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. @edeitrick
Congratulations to two students in my lab Melissa and Jayden for being awarded the Dean’s Undergraduate Achievement Award! It is such a joy to work with you! @UBEngEd @UBengineering
My Great Uncle Robbie (my grandmother's bother) turned 100 years old last week and his big birthday party made the news. Robbie is one of the best story tellers I know. youtube.com/watch?v=pz97CviQ…
Congratulations to my postdoc Karen & mentor/cheerleader/collaborator/former boss @merredith_CEEO who are part of the writing team awarded @ASEE_DC Best PIC IV Paper & Best Paper in the @PCEE_Div! I'm looking forward to hearing the presentation next week. nemo.asee.org/public/confere…
As someone who struggles to write and does not think I am a particular good writer, I had three undergraduate students all at different times today tell me they feel they are better writers because of writing for my lab. I am both confused and proud?
End of year lab bowling party was a success! We will miss you Max! @DuncanMullins2 @UBEngEd
Congratulations to my postdoc Karen and her co-authors @rdgswanson @merredith_CEEO for the publication of their @JEE_Editors paper "Characterizing engineering outreach educators' talk moves: An exploratory framework" onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… @DuncanMullins2 and I are super proud!
I am a figure skater who has lived in Minnesota, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New York. So this map basically just explains my life.

Since Covid is preventing my attendance at FIE, if you are there please go support my graduate student @DuncanMullins2 Sunday at 9am at the Culture of Teaching and Learning session. It's his first conference presentation and I am so sad I can't be there to watch! @UBEngEd
Showing our new faculty around Buffalo (and only one of us brought a laptop to dinner) @UBEngEd
