The Trump Administration is attempting to illegally restrict funding for @HUDGov’s flagship program that helps communities combat homelessness and provide affordable, safe, and stable housing to our most vulnerable residents. We’re suing. We will not allow the President to callously break the law and worsen the homelessness crisis across the country.

When rezoning was proposed 8 years ago, it seemed crazy that developers could gentrify LA’s Skid Row. But it’s happening. Investors are moving into America’s poorest neighborhood (47% of residents are homeless) with a $2 billion high-rise. #displacement latimes.com/business/story/2…

There are now two Americas when it comes to housing: In one, people work multiple jobs and still can't afford a home. In the other, housing isn't a place to live but a portfolio to grow.
Real estate investors bought one-third of all single-family residential homes sold in the second quarter of 2025.

I’m glad @kilmeade apologized for his extremely callous remark about people struggling with mental illness. While they are often the most visible people who are #homeless, always remember that most Americans without housing simply can’t afford the rent.

And guess how he found out..? His landlord tried to evict him and during the court proceeding, his tenant attorney told him he actually doesn’t even need to leave because the apt’s rent stabilized and he’s been paying $1k extra a month. WHEEEWWWW!!

Last year, the US budgeted $12.8B for new affordable housing. This country is now poised to spend $45B on immigrant detention centers. That's nearly *four times* as much on cages as on homes—in the middle of a devastating housing and homelessness crisis. newrepublic.com/article/1976…
