Happy heavenly 87th birthday to #DaCoach #MikeDitka, who sadly left us last week. One of my all-time favorite people and we always joked that we shared the same birthday.

My wife gave me a great birthday surprise tonight: we just saw comedian #BradWilliams @FunnyBrad. One of best shows I’ve ever seen. And he had a free meet and greet afterward and hung around to meet every one of the nearly 3,000 people that attended. Outstanding jokes and talent.

Just learned of the passing of longtime @NASCAR scribe #MonteDutton. He and #DavidPoole formed the best 1-2 punch of racing writers. Monte left us way too early. RIP.

I am heartbroken. Legendary coach and player #MikeDitka passed away this morning at 86, just over a week from what would have been his 87th birthday. We had a very close relationship when he coached the Bears, especially because we shared the same birthdate. He was without question one of my all-time favorite persons in life. RIP Coach, you were one of the greatest of Da Bears!

I’ve never been a big fan of former @Foreigner lead singer @TheKellyHansen, but he sounds good as the new lead singer of @DeadDaisies. They just put out the first song — music.youtube.com/watch?v=ON… — of their upcoming album and you can hear on @YouTube. It rocks, but still wish #johncorrabi @Crablegs59 was back as lead singer.

I love spammers. They must really think some of us are so dumb. I just got a DM supposedly from President Trump asking for my help if I clicked on a link. It even had a Washington DC area code.

The more I hear @McConaughey the more I KNOW he’d be the kinda guy I’d like to hang out. Watching The Rivals of Amish King now and can’t wait for the upcoming movie between #mcconaughey and @WoodyHarrelson the Apple TV series Brothers, appearing on Sept 23 and rolling out a new episode every Wednesday.

So I just heard #TheWreckOfTheEdmundFitzgerald and there’s a line about Lake Ontario. Too bad #GordonLightfoot passed away, or I think he might have something to say about it now being Lake America lol.

This year cannot end soon enough given all the deaths of celebrities, with @DollyParton being the latest to pass away this morning at 80. RIP Miss Dolly.

I must have a black cloud following me. I just went thru the NINTH tornado of my life (plus 2 HURRICANES) and the second one in the last couple of weeks. Luckily, no damage for us but our neighbors have damage and trees down. Is there ANYWHERE THAT DOESN’T HAVE TORNADOES OR HURRICANES?

RIP to Randolph Mantooth, best known as paramedic John Gage in the 1970s TV show Emergency. It was one of my all-time favorites. He passed away today at the age of 80. Squad 51, your shift is over. RIP.

Very sad to hear of the passing of one of the best NASCAR journalists in the business, @stevewaid. Steve inspired and mentored countless journalists over five decades. RIP Mr. Waid. You will definitely be missed.
