Oooh I’ve been top trumped ….while the other household member’s prospectus is a year younger it does boast a photo of Seb Coe running in Loughborough colours Think I might be allowed to keep my 50-year old piece of history :)

On behalf of Credu, I am delighted to invite you to join us in Cardiff on St David's Day, Monday 1 March 2027, for a special celebration of unpaid carers and the vital contribution they make to communities across Wales. Credu: Together for Carerswill bring together carers, professionals, community organisations, supporters, partners and leaders from across Wales to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary role carers play every day in supporting family members, friends and neighbours.  As we come together on our national day, this event will provide an opportunity not only to celebrate Wales and its communities, but also to acknowledge the compassion, resilience and dedication of carers whose contribution is so often unseen yet so essential. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to: •Meet carers and organisations from across Wales •Hear inspiring stories and experiences from carers and communities within Credu •Explore how we can work together to strengthen support for carers •Share ideas and build new connections •Learn more about the work of Credu and the difference being made alongside carers every day   At its heart, the event is about celebrating the power of caring communities and recognising that strong relationships, connection and mutual support are fundamental to the wellbeing of people and communities across Wales.  We would be honoured if you were able to join us and help us celebrate carers on this special day.  Event Details • The Cabaret, Welsh Millenium Centre, Cardiff • Monday 1 March 2027(St David's Day) • 11:00 -15:00  • eventbrite.co.uk/e/credu-tog…   Thank you for your continued support of carers and communities across Wales. We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an inspiring and uplifting celebration. Please pass this invitation to anyone you think might want to be part of this event and conversation.  Best Wishes Becky

Regardless of the Data Centre issue itself surely the MEGA question here is why were the full facts not included in the original planning dox? what were developers and, given the Council has a financial, interest, County Hall trying to hide? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c639…

My new book “Welsh Rugby Greats” is published today by Y Lolfa. Can you name the five former internationals pictured on the front cover? There are life and times interviews with 27 Wales stars in the book.

Please share the post below. By combining lots of small ideas we give it oomph for politicians to take it seriously. I want everyone with a good idea to see it so they have a chance to make things better for all of us!
NEWS: Today I’m launching The Small Ideas Initiative. We want you to submit ideas at Small-Ideas.org for non-controversial fixes, e.g “live sewage updates for beaches” or “standardised allergen menus”. A year ago, an interviewer asked what I’d have told the Government if I’d been advising it, I replied, 'Come up with 100 small things that piss people off and fix one a day for the first 100 days'. As I left the stage, I emailed myself, 'set up Small ideas institute!' And today, I’m excited it's happening. I’m funding two charities to work together to collate the submissions, narrow them down to about 200 doables then turn those into formal policy proposals which I'll bring back to you for feedback. Then to finish we've a Cross-Party panel who’ve agreed to pick 50ish, after which we’ll start trying to make them happen. You can read far more about it and who the cross party panel are here… blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2…

In a heady moment of generosity I sponsored my mate a fair wedge to do the Cardiff Half marathon. Due to the cunning way JustGiving’s checkout works I unwittingly gave the company a £9 tip. This must happen a lot. I have learnt you can request a refund in the confirmation email.
