Volodymyr Zelensky is NOT a dictator. Vladimir Putin IS a dictator. Zelensky didn’t start the war in Ukraine. Putin did. Hope this clarifies things for anyone who is confused.

This has to be the best book on the Somme. Just superb, especially on the ‘strategic labyrinth’ and the French contribution #FWW #Somme

A father remembers a son: Rudyard Kipling (left, top hat) at the unveiling of the Loos Memorial in 1930 where his son was commemorated as one of the missing. John Kipling, from the small Sussex village of Burwash, died at Loos with the Irish Guards #OTD in 1915 and Rudyard paid for a bugler to sound the Last Post here every evening, until his death in 1936.

A letter written by my Grandfather to the Guardian in 1975. No 1 Commando suffered 134 casualties in this bold but ultimately futile mission in Tunisia during the Second World War #commando #unitedweconquer

These magnificent 1st Battalion Grenadier Guard pallbearers have been done their Queen and country proud. Incredible job under hugely stressful conditions.

I'm a huge fan of the National Army Museum and it's great to see that it's been 'rescued from the jaws of wokery' @NAM_London @aroberts_andrew @JonathanBoff
Great news that the National Army Museum has found itself again under some effective leadership. ⁦@aroberts_andrew⁩ in ⁦@spectator⁩ ⁦@NAM_London⁩

A humbling visit today to the Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede which commemorates over 20,000 men and women killed in Western Europe during the Second World War who have no known grave. Amongst them are Sqn Ldr John Nettleton VC and Noor Inayat Khan GC. Per ardua ad astra. #cwgc
