Today, I had no choice but to tell my daughter that her clemency request was denied. 💔 Apparently, another 5,600 clemency requests were denied on September 16. I need to find a way to confirm this information because I have so many questions. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that President Trump personally reviewed all 5,600 applications. With his demanding schedule, traveling, attending rallies, appearing on television, visiting other countries, and meeting with world leaders, how could he possibly have the time to review every single case? I strongly believe we deserve to know the truth. Who is actually reviewing these applications? Who is making these decisions on the President’s behalf? Who is deciding which Americans deserve a second chance and which ones don’t? I would genuinely like to know who is responsible for these decisions because somewhere in that pile of applications was my daughter’s case. She is a mother of five children who has been behind bars for more than three years. Her children have gone a year and a half without seeing their mother in person, and now she has spent two months at a transfer facility in Oklahoma without video calls to her children. Her family is falling apart. These are real people, real families, and children who are growing up without their mother. I cannot understand how a system can look at a case like hers and deny her clemency without giving this family the chance to be heard. Whoever is making these decisions needs to understand the human cost of what they are doing. Behind every application is a life, a family, and children who are suffering. Who is really making these decisions, and how can we make sure President Trump actually sees my daughter’s case?
