โธป
๐Medical Notes:
Sally Ride tested POSITIVE for heartworms and will need treatment. She has received vaccinations, deworming, and flea prevention. No other medical concerns were documented.
โธป
๐พBehavior Notes:
Sally Ride has consistently been described as a sweet, friendly girl with soft eyes, a wiggly body, and a happily wagging tail! She walks beautifully on a loose leash, leans in for affection, accepts treats, and enjoys being petted. She keeps her kennel clean, suggesting she may be housetrained. Although she has occasionally cried or barked in her kennel, including forward barking on 10/22, most observations describe a calm, affectionate young dog who loves human attention.

Let's talk the torture & inhumane treatment to be in a Pop-up crate for 23 1/4 hrs a day
@GovKathyHochul NYCACC is crating dogs which is a direct violation of Article 26-C Companion Animal Care, what are you doing to correct this behavior?
Everyday we see good dogs go from being Adoptable to Rescue Only & Kill Listed because they live in a busy hallway, crammed in a pop-up crate.
NYCACC states their reluctance to be stuffed in their cage after a walk, being aroused from lack of exercise & enrichment. Putting on their records "has not acclimated to care center environment"
But let;s be clear. This is NOT the fault of a dog. This is the fault of @NYCHealthCommr & #RisaWeinstock who are incapable of competently running a humane animal shelter system.
The gentle, sweet Cloudberry will be Kill Listed
Because once again, NYCACC failed to find him a home or treat him with the respect every being deserves.
