And then the quality of that "fast food" is used to undermine the value of journalism as a whole--both as an industry & a public good. It also makes it nearly impossible for people who don't come from financial privilege to do the job, further solidifying elitism in the field. 😞
We need change. Criminals have rights, victims should have rights! Especially when they r young children in high-profile case. They deserve to not be exploited in media. They deserve a constant advocate they trust when recounting what happened (repeatedly, which is traumatizing)
FIX OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM!!!!! Where is justice for victims and families????
This Monster was released pending trial! This Judge is to blame:
Diana Sullivan lowered his bail to $10,000 in December 2022. She told him not to contact his family. Right? There is no way to monitor this. She should lose her job.
Look at his charges:
-5 counts of lewdness with a child under 14
-Lewdness with a child under 16
-Kidnapping of a minor
-2 counts of sexual assault against a child under 16
While awaiting trial, he murdered:
-Schinara 34YO
-Zi'Myra 6YO
-Ki'Ziah 14YO
and a 3rd child #Derrick, 11 YO, is struggling to survive.
You can't fix guys who enjoy molesting their babies. How can this judge not know this?
