World Teachers Day. I am so thankful for the amazing and dedicated group of educators that I get to work alongside every day @MEShanover .I am also thankful for the incredible team @BlumenortHSD who teach my kiddos. ❤️

Green day in Kindergarten + PJ day in a Grade 2 class= 1 comfy teacher on a Monday.

So thankful for @BlumenortHSD. The school staff is working so hard and my kids come home happy and excited about what they’re doing there. They thrive on the routine and ‘normalcy’ of school, even as it changes. They love that place and the people in in. Thank you! 😊 #hsdlearns

I loved having our admin team in to my K class to engage with the kiddos. Now in a learning support role, I am working hard to visit classrooms and to engage in meaningful ways with our students every day. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement. #hsdlearns

3 successful days with students done. The boys enjoyed their first few days of school. We are tired. This weekend will include sleep, good food, and outside time. Happy weekend. 😊

Yesterday was my Kindergarten kiddos first free choice Friday! I received so many photos of kids choosing fun activities. They loved it! They did so many of them with their ‘Flat Mrs. Thomson’. Thank you @lauriesmcintosh and @SandraCormican for sharing your ideas! #hsdathome

Week 6:these kids.They’re here everyday as I teach from home and try to parent/teach them at the same time.They have helped and been in videos.They’ve put up with me being on calls, and staring at my computer. They are wonderful and I’m so lucky that they’re mine! ❤️ #hsdathome

A different take on week 5 of teaching from home. We worked outside, I drew a terrible pumpkin on my head during a webinar, I taught my class to draw a frog, E got a new bike from friends, homework, Zoom staff meeting, and a pie was delivered! #hsdathome

Week 4 of teaching from home. I miss those kiddos! 😊❤️ I love how much fun my boys are having when they help me make videos! They are involved all the time! This week we filmed inside, outside, and on the roof. 😬 We also added an art lesson and GoNoodle! #hsdathome @MEShanover

Week 3 is done! Such a busy week. Planned and prepared the next learning at home package for my K’s. Taught long division and three digit subtraction at my house. 😊 We are settling into a routine at home. More videos for my students. More odd facial expressions.😂 #hsdathome

Week 2 of teaching from home! More videos! 42 families get to see me multiple times a day! This week I added some new props and some new facial expressions... 😬🤷‍♀️ I miss those kiddos!They love the videos so we will keep thinking of new things to send out. #HSDatHome

In this new ‘temporary normal’: We will continue to find a way to do what we do best. Connect with kids. Let them know that they’re important. Encourage them. So, I will create the videos to make them smile and let them know that I’m still their person. ❤️ #hsdlearns
