Arriving to the cottage in cool temperatures, a fire burned all night and stoked this am. A quiet day of chores and a walk on the nature trail yesterday. Off to the shed in a minute. Aren’t Cottage sheds always a classic, 😂, stuff here and stuff there. 🧰

Always good day to take a cruise 🚢 on the Bay of Fundy. With cooler weather pending, more chores and healthy living at the cottage. xitter.cf/Jeff_newriver/status/2…

Morning sunrise 🌅 over the Halifax approach to the harbour. A cruise ship slides onwards against the land. Happy T Giving to all - and a special thanks to all the first responders working to keep others safe.

After a week of fall chores heading home tomorrow. A final walk on the nature trail. A hidden gem. New trim, pickwick pine, and laminate in the corner = long overdue refresh.

A great “learning how to sail season” has come to a close. A final sale from Gold River Marina towards Peggy’s Cove with a pod or porpoises 🐬 swimming bye. Wonderful moments on the water. Today the boat was pulled from the water. Off to the cottage next - fall chores await.

Astounded to be watching international volleyball 🏐 in Moncton. For the next week teams from across the world will be playing.

After an epic trip returned home. Sailed (or motored) from Gold River M to Mahone Bay. And then sailed onwards out past Tancook Island before returning to Gold River Marina.

A great day sail to Tancook Island and back. Pods of porpoises swam bye me. Oak Island 🏝️ is a bit bed of digging (for treasure)! Sunset 🌇 and quite ocean 🌊 on final stretch.

Another sailing lesson and then towed back to the dock by an awesome sailing instructor. The wind disappeared!!

A cheery campfire 🔥 bubbles away. Lights from a small solar system brighten the ambience attached to our shed/ workshop.

I continue to practice. With gusty conditions, completed about a 7 nm track to Squid Island and back. While faint in the picture - too many sailboats ⛵️ to count are off Chester for its annual racing: true sailors.!! A few gusts had the boat leaning 15’ &registering 5.5 knots!

Still learning how to sail…. It’s pretty “cool” (forgive the pun). ⛵️

I was in awe last week watching several yardsman fixing bits and pieces then raising the sails. Today was a special moment. Being under sail in light winds, I could feel the boat moving. Gold River Marina is a hidden gem 💎 🌅. More classes and more practices to come.
